With each year JP's tours become more incredible and fantastic (if talk about planning stage, decorations...).
The last tour was super!!!!!! I like it |

Rob has a little "hut" backstage where he changes as well as sits down and gets oxygen if he needs it. If it was that hot and humid, I'm sure he needed a break. Sounds like Rob's back/leg was giving him problems again. One show he will be just fine and dancing around and the next night he will be limping. It's a hard life driving from city to city on a bus.
Glad that you all enjoyed the show!!!

I know the bands don't control this, but I'm sure they could have some kind of influence, right?
One question that I had about the band itself was, why did Rob go back stage after almost every song? True, he's not getting any younger, but I think that he may have been in pain(?) of some sorts since he was walking with a cane at times during the concert. I'm hoping that he was/is okay. I can only immagine how hot it was for the band on stage, too.
That said, they concert ROCKED, and my wife and step-son also had a great time.

Make sure those boots have high heels. That way you can tower over everyone else and get the best pics/video.

On the money. Oddly enough, I never would have known had you not said something. You are also right. Best for the end of a hockey game or something.

HOWEVER! I must confess.
I didn't like that they used Queen's "We Are the Champions" as their...departure song, I guess? You know, when they play the song through the venue speakers as soon as the last band leaves the stage, as if to say, "show's over"? Yeah, didn't like this one. I mean, sure, the band is a champ, absolutely no doubt about it, but I'm the one here LOSING my idols to age and retirement! Nope, felt more like a loser. Maybe that was what the band wanted us to feel after the show? That somehow we're all champions, but losers at the same time? *shrugs* Ah, well. I least I have the memories.
I dunno. Just wanted to put that out there. I can't be the only one, right?

So glad, so many had a great time and took their kids.

Yeah. The guard even told if I had a camera or phone I could tape, they just didn't allow camcorders. My brother (and I for a few songs) taped the whole thing in Detroit. Had a guard both in front and behind and they never said a word.
Camera and cameraphone, though. Funny to watch as you can see when we both get really excited and the video bounces around. Not exactly professional quality but, between us, we did get the whole show.

I did notice one guy at the Detroit show who had a digital camcorder but the scope was pretty big on it and they told him to shut if off, but several people were using smaller cameras, that were taking great video from my view, and they never once said a thing to them.

"2 Minute Black Sabbath Jam"?
Please clarify.
I saw them twice in the U.K. on this tour no BS Jam and I will see them tonight in MA.
Do you mean the War Pigs intro before the curtain drops?
Thanks | | Maple Syrup wrote: | | Cannot say enough about the show last night in Jersey. Priest played flawlessly and my personal faves were: Blood Red Skies, Nightcrawler and Beyond the Realms. They are a well oiled machine 21 songs in all and what can you say except they brought it to the house last nite. Loved too when they did the Black Sabbath jam for about 2min. Also showed the old school Priest in them, in so many ways. Halford delivering on many highs and his mid range screams brought the roof down OMG. Richie is really blending in nicely with the band, and his solos were spot on. Tipton is still the master ripping and shredding the whole night. Ian was as steady as ever, the backbone of the rythym section with Scott. Great Pyro and Light Show too certainly brought this long-time Priest fan back to the old days and the set list kicked ass too. Full House &The sound was terrific with the double bass of scott travis pulsating all night. If you are on the fence I suggest you go and not miss this one. Thank you JP for a great show! MPleSyrp |
