Hail fellow acolytes! I have made my pilgramage wandering far & wide to speak the truth of metal to all the non-believers & false prophets of which they are legion. Tie the heathens before the towering stacks of righeous amps & pour the molten steel upon them! Burn the holy incence at the altar. Let none escape the wrath of metal!

Sorry, couldnt help myself there. How is it going folks! Long time, much longer than I will care to admit, metal fan & Disciple of the Priest. Just thought I would drop by & declare myself as a follower. Hope for many more years of the Priest to come.

Welcome to JP.com and the Board Warlord77.
This is the place to be if you're looking for good friends and fans of Priest.
Unfortunately I, nor do most folks I know have footage from that era (although you may get lucky!!).  I have found that searching youtube.com will get you select videos of that era.  I have found live cuts such as Shooting Star and the Ripper on video pre-leather days, back when Rob was still wearing sequin blouses and Glen and KK wearing jumpsuits.  Quite remarkable really.
Good luck in your search.  If you happen to come across such a video, please come back and share with the rest of us!!

I would like to see a live concert from say 1977 to 1979. You see Sabbath , The Doors, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple all have been filmed early on. Maybe Priest think's no one would be interested .
[BraunyMetal] Tuesday, December 09, 2008 6:56:45 PM

Hey fellow Priest maniacs,

I am hoping to eventually get a message to the band: I would like to see if there is video footage from the 1984 Defenders tour (or even earlier!!) that they would consider putting out as an official release.  The Live Vengeance and Electric Eye videos are spectacular, and there are some great memories there!  Halford is doing a lot with his solo stuff (Fight and the Halford band), and I know a lot of that has to do with the fact that he owns the rights through his Metal God Entertainment co., so there are probably some barriers in that regard for Priest, but still... if there were any way to have some of this stuff, it would truly be awesome!!  If you agree, please use whatever contacts you have to get this request out there!!

Thanks!
Rock Hard, Ride Free!!!!

All this fuss about venues ? arena style venues r cattle sheds poor sound & no ambience, I hasten to add that would rather see priest in theatre style venues. play extra nights if needs must, so stop all this fuss about nothing.

Yep--Liz--a great night was had by all  except that my nieces are just a few years younger than me & the young boy helping us on the wagon said to me that my daughters were seated to the left--immediately came home & threw away my Oil Of Olay as I felt it wasn't helping me--they say the younger you are the more honest you are so in his eyes I must have looked like an old hag--my 1 niece is only 1 year younger than me !!  But then again maybe it wasn't the way I looked --maybe it was because I have athritis in my good knee & had a hard time climbing the steps--so maybe I should throw away my Aspercreme instead !!

Wanted to jot down this note to all my Judas Priest fans -- & to prove that JP is like no other band
Took my 5 nieces to the Haunted Hayrides of Pa--3 of them -& they played hard rock/heavy metal music while we waiting to board the wagon--hayrides 10-15 minutes tops --standing in line to get on hayride 1-2 hours
So needless to say  I heard alot of music--none of the bands got any recognition--Metallica --Alice Cooper--Ozzy--Disturbed---A Perfect Circle--nothing
But when they played Judas Priest--You've Got Another Thing Comin'--I heard a few voices around me yell "Priest Priest "-made my heart feel good as my feet were killin' me from doing all that standing !!

Hello all metal maniacs!
And thank you for such a nice & warm welcome wishes! This Finnish radio station RADIO ROCK net address is www.radiorock.fi and unfortunately it can be read only in finnish language BUT, then comes BUT...

If you please send, in english, your strong support that they would "Keep the Faith" and play Priest every day, I think that that would be something there, on studio and on air, that must be notified. Here's short language tip:

Go to the net page. Pick up from above line "Palaute". Then add your name or nickname to "Nimi". Then your e-mail address "Sähköpostiosoite". And finally your message "Palaute". Please say greetings, if you remember, from Rane. Last thing to do is to send message "Lähetä"

And please remember all that you*ve got another thing comin'....Thank you all!

Rane

Keep the Faith everyone!
My name is Rauno and I live in Helsinki Finland. I saw JP Nostradamus excellent tour show in the beginning of June and I would very much like that JP's second leg show 2009 comes to Finland again. Here in Finland we have a very good radio station "Radio Rock" and indeed these 2 guys running the show there most of the time have played to all listeners "Visions" every day so far!!! Is this incredible or what! Anyway Priest has a huge fan group here and I am sure they would like to see "Metal God men" again.

Btw my top Priest song is still Victim of Changes.

Take metal care all!

Rauno

HI New here.

Never really been a Priest fan till we got Nostradamus, a bold concept indeed. Saw Halford when they supported Maiden in 2000; even got the Live in London DVD with Ripper Owens. What a pity he was not allowed to flourish as a lyricist!
Hope they have many more years to come, glad that Rob has quit smoking; noticed that there are not as many high vocals on the new album
Scott is a great drummer, is he a full profit sharing member of Priest now?

It's a wonderful thing in life where you can post your comments--feelings & whatnot & have fellow fans to either cheer ya on or shoot ya down ( but it's all in good fun !! )
Am so glad I found this site & am glad to have all of you as friends !!

Although I can’t post to the topic “what do you think about the new album” because I just joined. I took the time to join to say the new album “Nostradamus” is spectacular. I miss the old heavy metal bands of the 70’s and 80’s and Priest has done a great job of resurrecting true metal form. Just an old mans opinion, GREAT ALBUM PRIEST!

For now you can only post in the topics that are in the "Introductions {New Members Post Here}" category. You earn "Respect Points" when you post, make friends, and stay out of trouble for a month. After a month or so you will be able to post anywhere. You can add friends by clicking on the name of the person you want to add, then click on "Add User as a Friend".

You can go to this link to find out how the "Respect Points" system works here: www.judaspriest.com/notice/forum.asp

Hope you have fun here at the Noticeboard!!!

I'm new and this is my first time after some years. After read the explanatory notes on how to start this forum, I have decided to venture into the wonderful world of JP and feel closer to the group. Unfortunately I have two years without concerts magnanimous because in my personal life have been many changes. But now I'm back here and I hope I can continue to enjoy one of my first groups.

Hi everyone. I'm Caron and new to the web noticeboard but a long time Priest fan. I recently got to see them live for the first time at Jones Beach - MetalMasters tour. They were great! My only two wishes were that , 1st ; my fiance who recently died could've been there with me, and 2nd; that Priest would've done more from the new album Nostradamus. The whole thing was bitter sweet, loving the chance to see and hear Judas Priest live while mourning the love of my life. My fiance was a HUGE, GIANT, FOR ALL TIME Judas Priest/Rob Halford fan. He would've really loved the show. Rock on!
