I love Black Sabbath! Favorite album is Heaven and Hell along with Master Of Reality.

Always loved the brutally real and yet strangely uplifting Spirit of Revelation in War Pigs, "Day of Judgement, God is calling, Underneath the war pigs crawling."  Often wondered if maybe the Satan of War Pigs could be the Almighty's right hand man as "Satan laughing spreads his wings...Oh Lord Now!"  Certainly not traditional interpretation but that song has always inspired the Spirit of Prophecy within me.

You'll never hear me bad-mouth Sabbath about ANYTHING....regardless of who sang, who came, who went...I loved every album (yes...including  "Born Again"  and  "Forbidden..."   the two that seem to make certain Sab fans shudder for God-only-knows-why reasons).    Was blessed to see them three times with three different incarnations and each show was pure kick-ass start to finish.

They're the progenitors...the reason METAL is a genre in the first place...the first proper boom of thunder the world ever heard and never forgot its impact.    The original line-up have done Birmingham, England RIDICULOUSLY proud!     So many great albums with some UN-BE-LEEV-ABLE songs on them...y'can't do any wrong with Sabbath...EVER....

I really love them.
I prefer them with Ozzy but no one can discuss Dio or Ian Gillan and so on. They gave the imprint, Judas Priest fixed the rules, Motorhead is pure Anarchy.

New singers we need urgently
In the 90 there were lot of guys who were promises but many of them disappeared, it is shame.

It would be brilliant if they got back together with Ozzy.

I was just kidding with that Ozzy comment.Ha!  Yeah a young singer might be just what they need, bring in some new blood. I don't think Rob Halford though.

Hi I think Ozzy is too much EGO bound, maybe other singer, there were very good singers out there, I hope that some young singer would join them. Or maybe Rob after the FAREWELL tour. I love SABBATH

Excellent

Dio and Ozzy sang in two different Black Sabbath ages, and they were both great and suitable to cover the goal of singing that dark, strange, beautiful music.  They were other singers, too and I don´t reject any.
The band evolutioned, the singers too. Sabbath rules 4 ever
Found this in YOU TUBE
ELECTRIC SLEEP BLACK SABBATH
very bluesy

Great song from the album that created heavy metal.

One of the great Sabbath songs.

[Brian_Evans] Friday, April 29, 2011 9:46:24 PM

Classic.

[Budred] Monday, April 25, 2011 3:53:06 AM
I thought about that, (after) I made the remark of course. That's why I said to J.D. I was
probably wrong.
[Brian_Evans] Sunday, April 24, 2011 8:21:27 PM
Budred,  I agreed with Jimmys original post in here about Ozzy era Sabbath creating metal. The title of the thread is "The Creators of Metal - Black Sabbath Discussion" -Discuss the Apocalyptic riffs of Black Sabbath. Now if you interpret that as discuss Ozzy era Sabbath only than whatever floats your boat man. The thread was created to discuss Black Sabbath in general not just the early years. You guys need to get out of the box ...lol!  Feel free to post as many Ozzy vids or information you want... its an open discusson about Sabbath.  [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Budred from Sunday, April 24, 2011 7:20:19 PM)

I was answering Brian's question by basically stating what Jimmy already did.
My post under my video was me being confrontational in a way and probably shouldn't have been done.
Like him or hate him he doesn't start with me so maybe that was wrong on my part. I just love Sabbath,
especially this era.

Also, it's kind of funny the song you posted. Black Sabbath was villified for being Satanic but that song
is all about god. That shows just how Satanic they actually were.

Budred I think you meant to type in Brian instead of jimmy, but I know who and what you meant.

Dio in Sabbath continued what Ozzy and Sabbath created in the 70's. Dio still belongs in this thread but just only posting Dio's material and leaving out the ozzy years is "RETARDED". And yeah this album kicks ass, like Jimmy said earlier about the Volume 4 riffs, these style riffs created "metal" being heavy or doom, they created it. Dio was playing rock and roll before he joined Black Sabbath.

This sounds like I'm repeating Jimmy but if you want to discuss Black Sabbath and you're referring to them as creators
then the discussion should revolve around the Ozzy era or more importantly their beginning. I'm not going to debate which
Sabbath line-up is best because that's just opinion but if you discuss (Creators of...) then the only logical discussion would
be about  the original line-up and what they did. You're free to post anything you choose but if I post here I'll stick to the topic.

There would have been a few people out there who shit themselves when they first heard it. Saw an interview with Ozzy ages ago where he was talking about their image and music back when the band first started. He said that at the time everyone was into peace and love and going to San Fransisco and wearing flowers in their hair and all that shit and how growing up in working class, cold, rainy, industrial Birmingham they had no idea what they were on about. When they started the band they kind of went all anti that image and sang about loss and desperation, black magic, madness and armageddon, stuff they knew about. fuckin funny. Good guys.

Yeah this is THE album that started it all,no other band..Deep Purple,Uriah Heep,Black Widow,Pentagram came close to a heavy metal album at this time. The 1960's came to a close...here comes 1970 while other bands were still in the 60's groove here comes the debut album 'Black Sabbath"! This would of been a "black metal" album if the tearm black metal were alive in 1970 lol true. This album would be the bad ass most underground satanic album and satanic sounding album you could find at this time. I bet people tripped out on this shit...the year I was born.
