Judas Priest - Hero, Hero - Gull Records, 1995 Connoisseur Collection.
Will always remain my favourite album. I don't have to agree with everyone else, and I don't have to go to any concert. I have most of your remasters which I will always treasure. |

ABOUT THE BEST JUDAS PRIEST ALBUMS....
In my opinion,a true fan of Judas Priest, can't say that an album is more good than another, cause in fact every album have such unique in his own way,so a fan can say that an album is just different than other, and of course then the fan can like an album most than other.
In my opinion of fan but musician too,i think that untill to Painkiller,my favorite was Painkiller, but there came Angel Of Retribution and this became my favorite, and then became Nostradamus and this became my favorite,so how its to see,its obviously that in my eyes their music grown with every album, but because these three albums can't be compared between them, cause Painkiller is the most heavy of their albums, but easy to understand from musical and lyrics point of view, then Angel of Retribution is closed of a heavy opera album and little hard to understand from the musical point of view, and Nostradamus definetly a heavy opera album, and the most hard to understand from the musical and lyrics point of view,i think all these three are my favorites.
But the all albums are good in fact, cause in every album we find some good songs.
But the most original remained also...
Their first cornerstone
Into building their empire
That
Rocka Rolla

I think most albums have a weak (or corny) song or two - well, compared to the other killer stuff on there. Defenders is a rare exception.

Agree with you. Listening Rocka Rolla and Nostradamus via Painkiller or Angel of retribution seems to listen three/four different bands. This is why they are the best. They don't have always the same sounds, or the same guitar or something else. To decide the best priest album is impossible just for what stated before. For me depends on the mood of the moment. Now, for example, is a particular period in which I'm very busy, so I like to listen pure metal, very heavy, so painkiller or british steel, o Screaming for vengeance. When I'm more relaxed I like Sin After Sin or Sad Wings of Destiny and Rocka Rolla, for example (also other bands and other kind of music). Judas Preist music allow you to do it, metallica for example not. They are always the same. Once you listen an album you listened all. Good Albums, no problem to admit it, but really few differences.
But if I have to decide and chose an album, I mention Sad Wings of destiny. I got into Judas Priest in 1980.
Their sound was pretty much developed by this time. Even though each album has it's own distinct style to it, and
they progress each time out, the early albums were the basis of that progression. The formulative years so to speak.
They have a very diverse style to them. Maybe not the Priest sound that most are used to but very good music
none the less. (Quoting Message by Nicky007 from Friday, February 26, 2010 7:47:28 AM)

Yippee, I just got the remastered Ram It Down and Turbo for in all 120 Dkr, about 22 US $.
There are some benefits to living in a country of metal ignoramuses.
So my order is currently:
1. Nostradamus
2. Angel Of Retribution
3. Demolition
4. Jugulator
5. Painkiller
6. Ram It Down
7. Turbo
Anyone said "Judas Priest get better and better with every album" ?
I can of course hear the difference between Rob and Ripper, but I like'm both a lot, and I find Dem and Jug terrific albums
