Way way back when Pantera was still doing the clubs... their last vinyl before "Cowboys" was called Power Metal.the last song on side 2 was sang by Dimebag and was called Pussy Tight, at the end of it ,it has some words intentionally put on backwards, when you spin it back it just repeats the tiltle of the song in the ever enthusiastic Dimebag swag!!... RIP Dime!! |

i was too young to remember if that also happened here in argentina in the 80s, but i do remember tv shows in the mid 90s playing music backwards to find secret satanic messages. Though one song from Ricky Martin, i think , did make something similiar to "mother i am shit" (in spanish) but with a lot imagination....
I also remember a comic show in which they played a Pizza backward and satanic noises came ouf of it...

What a crack up all that hysteria over metal was back in the 80s. How could anyone have seriously thought these guys were devil worshippers. Those people must have been utterly deranged. Running around burning records and tapes, scare mongering, creating panic among parents, slandering musicians.
