Take any video of these two bands and turn down the sound. then watch these guitarists do their thing.... Glenn clearly outguns Hammett. Power and prestige is what Glenn brings to us in his playing,Hammett while talented,doesn`t have the same finesse and grace. I like Metallica,but have never thought of Hammett as a premier player.
To go another one....George Lynch is my personal favorite guitarist,but even he doesn`t have the qualities that I have described for Glenn.
