...I know, but I think we agree on the spirit of what I meant...I've heard different athletes at varying times claim that having their jersey/number retired means more to them than the HOF...I don't know how true that is, only they do, but the 'honor' is not lost on all of them...and when it's one of my guys, it makes me that much more proud!! never heard of santo, but the hockey version is probably ken Danyko. played well for all his years in NJ. all star, not even close any year. never signed for millions, never was the number one guy, but a solid stand up player and member of the comunity.
