Once I find a reputable luthier, I will inquire of this process. Can`t say I`m familiar with it. PLEK, accronym for something? I guess my lack of knowledge on this one is from using an old school guy for so long, he did everything the hard way, micrometer and crown files!!! But damn he did good work !! Open question here. I have been adjusting my Jackson for lower action and have the strings at 2.5mm between the 12th and 13th frets. With the Jumbo frets that Jackson uses this puts them right on the deck with just a hint of buzz. This still seems high to me and is driving me crazy. I`m thinking that with the height of these frets, maybe I should just get used to it. OR... should I look into a fret leveling job and bring them down a bit??? been checking prices and wow is that pricey.
