Well, let me put it like this then: when Rob sings, it gives me goose bumps and I find myself in complete awe of his vocal ability. He sings with such great passion that it just draws you completely into the song. His lyrics are also incredible - he paints a picture in your mind and you find yourself feeling the same way he must have when he wrote the song. That is why he will always be the ultimate vocalist to me. Everyone has their own opinions and I know that some people believe Bruce or Dio are better. But like I said, Rob does something for me that I can't really explain and no other singer comes close to that for me. When Rob sang Victim of Changes in Cleveland, it was so awesome that it brought tears to my eyes and the entire crowd was quiet, waiting for that incredible high note, and then there was a roar of appreciation when he hit it. So to answer your question, no it's not totally about range. For me, it's about how I feel when I listen to Rob sing.
