A lot of bands used to wear make up back then but it doesn't make them shite! WASP,CRUE & Ratt all used to wear make up but they had some great songs.
I don't wear make up or spandex in my band but some of my fav bands did..i love Saxon but some of their clothes in the 80s were well dodgy, they are still great though.
As for Stryper there is nothing weak or pussy about the songs ' Soldiers under command' 'The Way' 'To hell with the devil' or 'More Than A Man'.
