Actually, I agree. When I did the St. Jude's Marathon in Memphis last December I was laughing with friends that all I needed was a freakin' cape and mask and I could do good deeds around the city at the same time. Sure did keep me warm, though....

I have these 2 icicles hanging on each side of the front porch and they bust be about 9'-10' long...I am not exagerating one bit...I want to knock them off but I'm not because of the picture buffs (mainly my sis-n-law)...they hang to about 2' from the ground, quite impressive really...

Had to actually go back several pages to find out what the complaints and words were referring to. In the end, this is a blip on the site, easily buried, and admirably dealt with. That is now the definition of fatherhood. What we have is simply a condition of more children that have NO idea what a father really is. Apparently, that word has just lost all meaning. Father...big friggin deal! Where is the dignity and grace? Where is the responsibility? *ugh*

As a woman, I think she would probably have FAR more to say than me and it would not be nearly as reserved!
It has been a terribly emotional couple days for me. I have seen things and thought of things that no one should have to endure. This place is a sanctuary. It is a place of friendship and love. They are going to do a "stress test" shortly. Our doctor was in a while ago and said there is a 50/50 chance that it is a heart condition. If that is so, she would have to remain here a couple more days and they will do MORE tests, including an angiogram. If the stress test is negative, she will return home with me today and we will make an appointment with the doctor for treatment.

Always... What a horrible thing... I really hope she is okay... these things are so scary,, I cant imagine..the thought that race ones mind.. the million what if's.. and if you are like me you fear the worst scenerio,, I get so fixed on those thoughts.. And worry myself to death,,, And then I get sick.. I know how you feel somewhat I can say,,
Different illness but still .. the sudden thought of these things can way heavy on the mind and body.

IN THIS CASE THESE WERE ALL GOOD PEOPLE. WELL EXECPT ONE IN MY OPINION. THE CFO HAD A STAFF MEETING WITH US AFTERWARDS AND HE MADE IT CLEAR. I NEVER BELIEVED MY JOB WAS IN JEOPARDY, BUT IN THE BACK OF YOUR MIND THERE IS ALWAYS THAT LITTLE DOUBT.

I do understand, scorp. It is an awful feeling. Although I have never been in a position where I felt that I would lose my job, I have had to "let go" many, many people. GREETINGS O MIGHTY METAL CONTINGENT!!!
So here it is....it dusted about an inch of snow between last night and this morning...some of the secondary and primary roads by me were a bit icy. So by the time I hit the main artery that leads me into Ithaca, I open it up a bit more and find I'm running a bit behind by the time I got in. I clock in at 6:34am...a minute late (which yes...in spite of how little, is seriously frowned upon here)...I see another name in my slot on the sign in sheet, to which I thought my run was given away for the day. Then, I remembered they'd been doing refresher training (which we have to do...it's mandatory) all this week...so...I ask the dispatcher...
"....am I part of that this morning?"
He says..."Yes....8am to noon..."
Now...here it is...all this week, I'd been hearing dispatch making arrangements with virtually every driver to accommodate their shifts so they can get their refresher training done...right??
WELL...IT WOULD'VE BEEN NICE IF THEY TOLD ME AHEAD OF TIME!!!!

Sounds absolutely divine, 'Child! I love pastry! This particular pizza is just SO good.
