Maybe you could keep a clothes peg in the top draw of your desk and just nonchalantly put it on your nose when stinkers arrive, " How may I help you? ". They may get the hint.

Can do no such thing. They are there for their family and not for me to give them a load of grief about how disgusting they are. The hospital probably cleaned up the person admitted. I have no say in the matter.

Damn repulsive slobs, you should have given them a piece of your mind.
[spapad] Friday, May 28, 2010 8:30:22 PM
I meet people from all walks of life. I work in a nursing home. No matter the circumstance of the family the person who needs to be in a nursing home is somewhat rulled by the state to be there. You meet everyone, from all walks of life there. That particular family really disgusted me because when they would call the facility their name showed up on caller ID. All I could think was .............JESUS..........you idiots have enough money to have a phone of your own, but YET!! you fail to be able to associate yourselfs with a cheap bar of soap and some water!!! They made me sick.

Well, if you work in the public. You have to be nice to certain people you would normally run from. I've seen it all. One woman came in with her family and they all looked as though they had taken a good digging in the coal bin before they came in. Not so. They stank and it was so sickening I could not wait to get them out of my office. When someones hands are as black as coal and they are white, it's not something you want to deal with. Thank god, this family was the FIRST of West Virginian's I have met like that in all my years living so close to the state. Yuck.

Oh damn, I guess I spelled guerilla wrong! HA!! No one would ever believe I do transcription for a living. LOL

Becks, I've seen men about as hairy as that. Thank god, I never had to endure them without the clothing.

Good info, Jimmy

Suppose Iommi and Butler sharing writing with all the members of the band is a bit like Bono and The Edge sharing songwriting of all U2 songs with the band - class gesture, if you ask me.

Agree with comments about Blizzard, Madman and No More Tears, although I thought the latter album was his most mature of his career, but the early Sabbath is in a different stratosphere, for me.
[Becks] Friday, May 28, 2010 7:52:13 PM

When you hear something you know is just fucking brilliant the tiny hairs on the back of your neck stand up, otherwise called, Shivers down your spine.  I'm sure you know that. So, yes ................I'm as hairy as a guerilla! Suprisingly I mask it well! HA!!!

He didn't have to, as long as he could sing like he did back then. Last album he sang great on was No more tears. About 4 songs on the whole thing worth it, but still when he gets it right, he makes the hair on your neck stand up.  WHEN he does. Sorry to say, you can never get that in concert.

Blizzard and Diary were two fantastic albums. That cemented Ozzy's presence in Metal more than Black Sabbath, in my mind.

All the songs were written by Butler and Iommi. As leader of the band Iommi credited the whole band on every song. Don't ask me why but that's what they did. From what I gather all the songs on Ozzys first two solo albums were written by Randy Rhoads and Bob Daisley. Ozzy doesn't contribute much in the writing stakes other than an idea or melody here and there but gets credit, I guess, because he makes the songs so good with his voice, presence and showmanship.

Just checked a few sites to double check and, well, you learn something new everyday.

Great lyrics, whoever wrote them.
[onetreehill] Friday, May 28, 2010 7:11:26 PM
Is that right, Jimmy? I thought that writing the lyrics was why Osbourne got his name on the song credits. If I'm wrong, I'm happy to stand corrected. Still think Ozzy's voice suited what they were doing in those early years perfectly.
[jimmyjames] Friday, May 28, 2010 6:58:57 PM
Geezer Butler wrote the lyrics to the early Black Sabbath albums with Ozzy.

When it comes to lyrical abilty Ozzy wins hands down. Look at the first six Sabbath albums, up to and including Sabotage, and you have some of the best metal lyrics ever. Ozzy's voice fits Sabbath, and so his voice has to go down as perfect for one of the greatest metal acts.

Dio had the better voice, for sure. His work on Rainbow Rising and Heaven and Hell is awesome. His writing is not as good as Ozzy's.

They are both metal legends with voices that fit the moment. Dio the better voice, but Ozzy the better wordsmith.

RIP RJD

Even though I Iike (some) Motley Crue I agree with you on that one. I have been to twelve
Ozzfests and this will probably be the weakest one but I'll go just to see Halford. Also, that's
not twelve different Ozzfests just twelve total. I've seen four of them in two different cities.
I've seen eight different ones.

The best singer in metal ( Halford ) followed by the worst ( squeaky Vince Neil ). I'd love to go to an Ozzfest, wish they'd bring the whole thing down here.

One piece of incorrect information there that I just found out. Motley Crue are the
Co-headliners with Rob on the mainstage before them. Sorry for the miss-info.
[Budred] Saturday, May 01, 2010 2:35:31 PM
I know most will not be as excited as I am but I just read that there will be an Ozzfest 2010
this summer. Ozzy will headline (yes I know he'll suck) but here's the cool part. Co- headling
the main stage will be none other than the Metal God himself ROB HALFORD. They only have
6 shows planned.

   San Bernadino, Ca.
    Chicago, Il.
      Pittsburgh (fuck yeah), Pa.
        Hartford, Co.
          Camden, N.J.
            Boston, Ma.

I know I'll get to see Rob this year is why I'm so happy. Maybe twice if he hits the area on his own tour.
Peace all!

Sabbath should definitely buy Sabotage.

Black Sabbath, the Ozzy version, wrote the rule book for heavy metal. From the first album to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath you are talking about 5 of the greatest albums in heavy metal history. I love Dio. Personally believe that his work on Rainbow Rising is as good, or better, than Heaven & Hell, which is a very good album, as well.

Give me Ozzy and the original Sabbath line-up any day. Wheels of Confusion, Children of the Grave, War Pigs, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, NIB . . . are you kidding me!
[Budred] Thursday, April 22, 2010 5:31:38 PM
Dio is obviously more talented than Ozzy but if the question is who was better for Sabbath
I'll take Ozzy any day. Heaven and Hell is a great album, Mob Rules is O.K.. Dehumanizer
I didn't care for at all. Other than Never Say Die I love everything Sabbath did with Ozzy.
Sabbath is my second favorite band next to Priest and I was into them before Dio so maybe
I'm biased. This is my opinion and it only matters to me. I saw Dio 6 times and, once with
Sabbath and again on Priest/Heaven and Hell tour so believe me I love Dio I just like Ozzy
fronted Sabbath better.
[soccer star] Thursday, April 22, 2010 11:26:33 AM
Yep the Dio albums reign supreme for me!! i dont really think there is a bad song on Heaven..... and Mob Rules.
The Ozzy (Sabbath) albums in my opinion are patchy...the good songs are good but the naff one are....naff! lol but i guess Ozzy is the better frontman.
[maiden mad mickey] Tuesday, April 20, 2010 7:02:21 AM
I Personally Prefer Dio's Voice, But Then Again, Ozzy Coulnd't Pull Off Dio's Songs As Well, But It's The Same The Other Way round... Dio Can't Do Ozzy's Aswell As Ozzy Can...

I love AOR, but I do wish I could erase Loch Ness. Thank good for "skip". They could have fit another 3 fine songs on that CD without that long drag.
[Head banger] Friday, April 16, 2010 3:15:35 PM
they have lots of great albums so its hard to say the best.  perhaps you say it beter, my favorite, not best.  its still a great album.  of course if it were on cassette and I had to fast forward past lochness, maybe not so much.
