It was like watching the Grammys all over again. Digging through all that crap for Judas Priest when it turns out that they won't even be shown, after all.

 MetalmanJP ......TOTALLY!

Shit bands like 5 Finger Death Punch(Sorry Halford but they SUCK!) and blah blah blah ....they are crap.

Bunch of baggy jungle cloths that hang down past thier ass with a backwards hat looking like a fuckin hillbilly.

Bands can suck "WITH PROPER AESTHETICS" ie: normal fit leather pants, leather jackets, boots spikes chains....sure just wearing these doent make the music but 'WITHOUT" old school aesthetics I wont even LISTEN to them once. Not once.

Old school traditional "METAL" aesthetics is what a "heavy metal" band should be wearing and then....then we wait for the sound to see if they are worthy or not.

Fuck off to these tunnel hat wearing baggy cloths wearing metal destroyers!

Yea I sat through all those crappy bands thinking Priest was gonna be on. WTF ! I just can't get into any of the new music, all those idiots wearing dirt bag clothes and rapping or screaming like the devil, I just don't get it.

[Vaillant 3.0] Saturday, May 16, 2015 11:04:29 PM
Aaaaand it looks like that's about as much Judas Priest as I'm gonna get from this viewing of ROTR. NO viewing of JP playing whatsover! Godsmack's set was about as far as AXS TV would get.

*sigh* Udder sadness...and disappointment. WIth a side of anger.

Oh, well. At least I got to see Jim Florentine doing backstage interviews after every set.

Still though...WHY THEY NO SHOW JUDAS PRIEST?!?!?

Yes I do remember that haha. Your man has good taste lol. Mind you, marmite from the UK is a bit different to the marmite we get here. Spread thinly on crackers or bread, yum. I can't answer why it is black sorry, that makes it look scarier than it is haha.

Marmite. HA!

Becks.............remember ages ago we (you me and Devi's Chlld) had a conversation about Marmite and I came down firmly on the antiMarmite, I'm afraid of that stuff side of things. Now, I have a jar of it in my pantry. NO, I do not eat it but my man likes it and stuck a jar in my pantry so it's always there. I've smelled it and it's a really strong yeast smell. I just can't get myself to take a bit of it. For instance, WHY is it the color it is? It's some scary shit.

Marmite is the product name, in NZ it's made by a company called Sanitarium. The UK version is slightly different.

Got it! Kill possums and store Marmite (brand name or do many make the same thing?) stored on a shelf. You saw that I have been taking lessons in shooting pistols, so "pop" all rabbits as well. Swine rodents! LOL!!!

Vail - Marmite is kept in the cupboard a la peanut butter, room temp. It is a yeast extract spread and is very savoury.
LOL Guido, no koalas here, or dingos. Common road kill - possums, hedgehogs, rabbits. And birds occasionally in more rural areas. Possums are a pest here, they destroy our native bush land, so sometimes people deliberately run them over i.e they don't stop to let them cross the road haha.

BTW, Becks. Is a koala native to NZ? Would I be in danger of a dingo eating my baby or is that only Aussie-landia? What is the common road-kill? In Grand Cayman, for example, it is the iguana. Here in the US where I live? Squirrels, possums (also known as opussums) and beavers in that order are the things I always have to watch out for when I walk the dogs. Calvin (another RIP) was the worst. Would get a dead squirrel or even a snake and I'd have to pry his jaws open to make him drop it. Bleah. Funny as my sister in Florida says that they actually have squirrels in a zoo there!

Just curious. Funny as in México you can buy iguana by the side of the road in certain cities and it really tastes great!

Well Vegemite is gross, Marmite is awesome! Haha. The biggest mistake people make with either when trying it for the first time is using too much. You only use a small amount. Marmite on crackers is yummy

Oh, Becks, I often go shooting pistols on a range Tues nights. Old fellow who keeps it open was chatting with me about someone from Australia who used to be an old Army soldier and somehow found his way "Down Under." Brought back (what he couldn't remember) two cans of "something horrible" for an Aussie friend of his back in the day. My first guess? Marmite (RIP!) LOL! Nope, it was vegemite.

Awwww Becks, I am so very very sorry. Love him every single second you can. He knows that you love him. Take lots and lots of pictures. My heart was ripped out when we lost Wolfgang. He and I had a bond that was so very special. He was my baby. I'm crying now just typing this and he has been gone almost 3 years now. If you want that recipe for those pumpkin biscuits, just let me know and I'll send it to you. Pumpkin calms the tummy and is great for digestive upsets as well as helping with diarrhea. Sebastian LOVES them and will do anything for one. Make every day like Christmas for him as you said. Sending positive healing energy your way!

I believe a rock melon to us is a cantaloupe to you. I will do some googling tomorrow about stopping the tumour from growing, thanks for the idea

[guidogodoy] Monday, April 06, 2015 2:42:59 PM
While I have no idea what a rockmellon is, the vet (even drove him a couple of hours away to see a specialist) diagnosed Calvin with a heart tumor causing an estimated 80% blockage in bloodflow. While he was a stray and I have no real idea, most experts pegged him at 5 years old or just a bit under at the time of diagnosis. FAR too young. Same goes with little dog, Nina. She just went from heathy to dead with no indications whatsoever. Would have done a necropsy but, as the vet suggested, it could have been anything that can suddenly kill a human (well, save for car accidents and the like). You might want to take a look at the online source I managed to find about how to, at least, keep the tumor from growing. Yup, cancer is a bitch!

Poor Buddy. If nothing more, you always have a compassionate ear here.

Thanks for the offer Guido, but honestly, the tumour is so huge (at least rockmelon size) I don't think a change of diet or anything like that will help him. We still take him on wee walks, not long ones as Ada is learning to ride her balance bike at the same time haha. Thanks for the kind words, and you're right they are always puppies to us!

Awwww. VERY sorry to hear that, Becks. Of course I remember your puppydog (even full-grown, they are always "puppies" to me).

When I got the devastating news that Calvin had an inoperable hear tumor, the Vet only gave him months to live. I researched like crazy and even got some great tips about a change of diet (primarily REAL cooked food with veggies) and he "gave up his little puppy ghost" a bit more than a year after the Vet gave him to live. Want me to PM you what I still may have around, I'd be glad to do so.

One thing I did NOT do was to keep the dog as calm as possible (didn't want his heart pumping too fast). Nope, Certainly not a way to go out! One of the happiest pictures I posted once here was him going crazy digging up my backyard going after something. Never seen a happier dog.

Again, very sad news.

Ewwww exploding poop! We get some pretty nasty tissue samples in to the lab I'm working in now - we do tissue culturing to try and isolate Mycobacterium bovis - we get lesions and those are nasty often all pussy and gross.

Well I have some sad news to pass on to my JP friends. You guys have often heard about our dog Buddy. Well he has been limping over recent months, he's 9 so we just thought it's arthritis/sore joints from getting old. When we were away for my sister in laws wedding last week he vomited a couple of times so off to the vet we went when we got home. Vet discovered a huge lump up the top inside (where his back left leg meets his gut). Needle biopsy done and it has been confirmed our lovely boy has cancer we don't know how long he's got left but every day will be like Christmas from now on! He has also lost 6kg without a massive change in diet or rigorous exercise, couple with the cancer being quite aggressive (from what the vet said) we don't expect he'll be with us for much longer. He has been the best dog. Cancer is a bastard!!!!!!!!!!! I bawled for ages after finding out.

Man, I have been laughing half an afternoon over this post. Too damn funny. Of COURSE I had to call my mother and ask her if she had any similar stories to tell. She clammed up! Only said that she had glass jars explode on her (what the hell kinda gas was in THAT poop?!?") but chose the route: "THAT is why I became a hemotologist and not a cytologyst." HAAAAA!!!!

I will read your message again and still laugh. Ugly scene but I can't help it. She DID commisserate with your ills about bulging containers, Tupperware, etc. Despite her 40+ year career, though, she wouldn't share any nasty stories with me. Only said that she has had similar experiences (and worse), understoood but wouln't elaborate. Guess she wants to push it out of her mind!

Lemme know if your hubby can't make the concert. I'd be glad to wear his boots and pretend to be him!

GO GREEN!!!!

If you had told me that THIS Spartan team was going to make it to the Final Four, I'd have laughed you out of the room!! Valentine makes me CRAZY!!!! He is a great example of a guy with a ton of talent and ability but is just plain STUPID!! He makes THE WORST decisions when he is under pressure, almost always resulting in him making a stupid pass that is stolen. Or he commits the dumbest fouls you can make in basketball. Wouldn't it be interesting if we had a WI vs MSU final???? The refs handed WI that Big 10 Championship win by not calling that guy out of bounds when he saved the ball. Of course not scoring in the OT is MSU's fault and at that point they didn't deserve the win. If we do face them, they will actually call WI for all the fouls they commit since this is on the big stage now. It cracks me up when announcers say WI commits the least fouls of any team...... uh, you mean are CALLED for the least fouls? Just because you aren't called for fouls doesn't mean you don't commit them! Remember Michael Jordan???? I rest my case! Dude could pick up the ball at half court and run with it for 6 steps and never get called for walking!

Your mom and I could spend days sharing stories, I'm sure!! Did she tell you any exploding poop stories??!! Now that's when the shit really flies! I tell everyone, BEWARE of the bulging container - she's gonna BLOW!! Sounds like someone fired a gun and scares the shit out of everyone. I had one next to me, thankfully the container was in a sealed bag on the bench, and before I could get to it, the lid came exploding off because of all the built up gas in the container and poop splattered inside the entire bag. I jumped about  feet in the air! My friend wasn't nearly as lucky with hers though. It exploded inside the hood and caming splattering out. She was covered in shit from the chest to her knees and shit was covering every inch of the hood. Poor thing. We all gathered around her and carefully took off her lab coat which thank God protected most of her!!

You know that if I could BUY a backstage pass, I WOULD!! FaceBook has its uses for sure and this was one of them!! The tickets went on pre-sale through Crowd Surge before any other pre-sales. They only said on FB that the tickets were going on sale 3/25/15 at 10 am and gave the Crowd Surge link. I was on-line exactly at 10am and the "buy tickets" icon appeared. When it gave me row AAA, I almost passed out!! The tickets have to be picked up at Will Call and it says NO TRANSFERS allowed. We still haven't seen any being resold, so it looks like all the close tickets went to fans that are actaully going to the show, what a concept!! If you look up the show in Chicago, there are 384 tickets being re-sold for 6X down to 3X face value. Tried to get tickets to that show and were online immediately and ended up back in row P or something and said FUCK THAT!! Glad we said no way to that show!

Yup. Right as always, HRMG. Spoke wiith Mom today (GO GREEN) and she confirmed what you said. Even laughed and gave me more of the way people sent in "specimens" over her 40+ career. She LOVED the way you abbreviated "C. diff" and told me more about your test than I could understand. I still say send poop in a Tupperware container! LOL!!! Obviously, she agreed with you.

, huh, what? Collected my continuing education credits and moved along, LOL! Actually, the C. diff one was pretty interesting. I stayed awake for it since I had just started to validate our C. diff PCR test. That's where I found out it is no longer just caused by antibiotic use, that it can be transmitted from person to person and healthy people have contracted it. They also talked about the new treatment - fecal transplants. All I could think was, THANK GOD I'm not the one that has to filter the poop! Definitely NOT the job that I ever want to do!!

Came in on this conversation a little late, but what the hell.

NO to the God Damn Tupperware container and NO YOU MAY NOT HAVE IT BACK WHEN I AM DONE WITH IT!!! A CLEAN, laboratory provided specimen container PLEASE!! FFS, I once got a turd in a velvet ring box!! I guess we know what she thought of the ring!

Usually, the patient with an extreme case of Clostridium difficile will find their own donor, but I suppose if we are talking about research cases, then perhaps. The new treatment when all else fails, is to do a fecal transplant so that the donor stools bacteria will take over and the C. difficile will be crowded out. Ask your mom, they had a presentation on it a couple years ago at the ASCLS-Michigan meeting that I went to. Quite a NASTY little bug it is!!

HAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Most people would say that if they saw a Fed Ex box of poop that they would call the FBI (hair or not)!!!

What?  now the poo that these nutbars collect needs to be hair free?

Hell no!!!

FedEx is gonna throw your box everywhere. If I see hair touching poop it's going to the garbage.

I'm pretty sure poop-making can even be considered a part-time job. However, they are very selective of their donors...or so I've read here: www.medicaldaily.com/fecal-transplants-pay-your-debt-how-donating-your-poop-could-earn-you-13000-and-save-320454

Of course, what you decide to do with YOUR poop (and who you want to send it to) is your business (heh).

Poop? I can sell my poop? While might be a slight to the band, I produce a lot of it as I am sure many fans doi as well. HAAA!!!

Details, woman, details! Shall I collect petri dishes or is Tupperware or even Ziplock baggies good enough? I would be more than happy to send it ot Jayne!!!!! She really deserves some shit! Curbishley as well.
Mis-handled the greatest band in the world, IMO. I know I speak for many. (ps ed. The band has remained strong despite of it!!!).

I think you can donate your stool, too. Or sell it to hospitals. Lots of patients in need of stools with good, healthy bacteria in order to recover from intestinal issues, or something like that.

Or how about we just disguise you as a dying hospital patient, take a pic of you and post it on the Internets, saying how you're such a huge fan of JP and how you wish to see them play live one last time, and HOPE that one of the band members takes pity and says "Yes" to a gig in your backyard?

If not, then...I can make baked goods and sell 'em. Pretend to use a weird fair-trade ingredient to attract the rich foodie snobs...

TRIBUTE band?!? No way! I say a "gymnatorium" or my backyard and we try for the real thing. Might have to sacrifice another body part of yours (hmmm...what else can you donate..heart? No, prolly need that...liver? Doubt you could live long without one. Tonsil transplant?). HEY, hair!!! I have a ton of it right now!!! Wonder how many wigs I would need. Of course, we'd have a bald crowd (you too, of course) but I'd do it!!

Oh yes, and I can sell a bunch of phones, ski goggles and computer parts!

Suuuure!

Just as long as everyone agrees to go halfsies on renting out a dance hall (with open bar, of course), and getting the food and the entertainment for the night: a Judas Priest tribute band!

May still have to sell one of my kidneys, but it's doable. Whaddya think?

Oh, be serious.....you can't sell BOTH kidneys (and still live). Just one and perhaps a cornea.

You know that is one of my favorite tunes. Ok, private party for me and a few hundred great JP fans. Howse 'bout that deal?

It's still there, right after Jawbreaker ends. I think the only stage banter cut out is the introduction for Night Comes Down and a bit from the intro to Victim of Changes.

Listening to Sinner now. KK's on fire in this one!!!

I'll have to admit, though, I'd love to see/hear what Richie can do with this song if they were to play it live.
[Vaillant 3.0] Saturday, March 21, 2015 10:48:37 PM
*sniff* They should've left Rob saying "Long Beach, CA!" in Grinder (yes, thinking about that live bonus track off the remastered BS album). I guess it makes sense to even out the speeches in between songs, but still!!!

Yup, listening to this right now. I like your word for this so far: GLORIOUS!!! Currently on Breaking the Law.

I do have an amazon account, but my son buys all the crap there.  video games and whatnot.

good luck in school.....

NEVER bought anything online?!? Damn, that is impressive. FYE = For Your Entertainment. There was one in a mall about an hour from here but, hell, the gas it would have taken to get there to pay more than Amazon's price (even if the store still exists) would have made no sense whatsoever. Plus, I am a lifelong Michigan State Llifetime Alum. Assn. + old network admin so they never removed my old email addy. Heh...sent the request with an .edu email addy to give it a shot and they shipped it for free within two days! Gotta love it.
I think I graduate in three years or so. Wish me luck!

Actually sounds like a really good idea! If they pull it off just right, it would make a GREAT concept album.

Not that I don't like Nostradamus, but I think that the band should create a world of their own on which to base their next potential concept album. Their own universse, their own characters, plot, etc.

AWESOME Becks!!!

I am so glad that you finally got to see the mighty Priest live!! Sounds like an incredible night, except for not getting Scott's drumstick. You will probably see it being sold on EBay within the next few days and THAT is what really bites - it was meant for a true fan that would cherish it!
