Saw the new Star Trek today. Meh. Anyone who was a fan of the original series and OLD movies would find it watchable but terribly predictable.

I love that movie!! It's classic! The banshee used to freak me out a bit when I was little haha. Sean Connery singing is interesting too lol.

Perhaps you are the only person on the planet who doesn't know that Platinum is both more valuable as a metal and indicates a higher album sales ranking worldwide than gold?
Comments like these make me glad that you are neither my commodities broker nor work for the RIAA. Plus, you misuse of caps would still irritate me.
Now Thats Gold Not Platinum Dont Forget Mr. Hamburger Only Has The Best!!!

If you are, indeed, a blogger, could you expand upon your use of the term "spoiled?" Sorry, "Totally Spoiled [sic]."

I recommend it - it is quite a long film, and I don't know how factual it is with regards to the passing of the 13th amendment and what Lincoln had to do to get it passed, but I enjoyed it none the less. I'm a bit more forgiving with that type of movie with regards to errors - no one who was around then is alive now, so facts kind of pass in to myth and legend. With The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty, there are thousands of living testaments to the conditions and what really goes on in Afghanistan/Iraq. If they weren't used to help make the films, shame on the film makers.
THANK YOU!!! You know that you and Craig were going to be my "go to" people on this one and I am with Craig. WTF sort of propaganda film was that nonsense that was both boring and stole 3 hours of my life last night!? Up for an Oscar, Golden Globes, ok. Must be good. GAWD, not only a yawn-fest but, trite, and nonsensical to boot! They speak the wrong languange in certain places!!! That rubs me the wrong way as people who think they speak Spanish in Brazil. Bless you, Craig, and your family for your service!!
Now I have heard good things about Lincoln too. Hope that is at least better than that garbage I watched last night. Don't think it is still in my theaters but I hope to catch it on DVD.

GAWD, how that boring pos is up for an Oscar is a mystery to me. It would have been an ok "made for tv" film but I say rent it so you can take a nap, have a cup of coffee and still get to the actual raid where the SEALS hit bin Laden's compound. Even that part of the film, while fine, is outdone by video games. Zzzzzzzzz to the film as a whole.
Ed note: is it just me or isn't it "O" dark thirty? While I've never served in the military, I do know many who have and I am all but positive that even the title of the film is wrong (not to mention the numerous plot flaws in the film itself).

I only bought it because it had both singers from a band I like as the lead characters.
The disc came autographed and it included 5 movie posters autographed also with one
being signed by the other actors as well.
I knew it was low budget so I wasn't expecting much. I wasn't disappointed. Had it not been
for the signed stuff this would have been a total waste of money.

Seeing Thor would have filled in the plot a bit for you. I want to see this movie, but I have not yet. Still, it's still in theathers and I'll try to catch it soon. I've heard nothing but good things about this movie! Got to get to it.

THE AVENGERS was really good. The special effects were crazy! This movie is now added to my list of my favorite movies. Along with LOTR, Thor, and Pirates of the Caribbean. I didn't get the plot that much and I think they could've made the plot better. But the special effects covered it up a little.
Loki was quite the hottie though
