A muy bueno afternoon, folks!! Been hard at work on the album today! You know, I have such a healthy respect for the professionals that do this kind of thing! I mean, what an arduous job!! So many people just do NOT know what it takes to record and produce AND distribute an album!! YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear, this music thing is not all it is cracked up to be!!! HAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must tell you all, I am still very excited about releasing this album. I have a good feeling about it. I know you all will enjoy the choice of songs and quality this time around. It certainly came at a tremendous cost but it will soon be here!

[guidogodoy] Wednesday, May 06, 2009 11:19:28 AM
Just wait until I break out my Brazilian music! LOL!!!

All emotional. Cruising across the ocean on a massive katamaran off the coast of Porto Seguro with this music just blasting and drinks flowing, how can you NOT get into new rhythms? Still, I measure myself musically by my actual purchases. Detroit is a musical mecca of sorts. I LOVE it at the local bars where the music will go from Metal to Jazz to Motown to '80s all in rotation.  Notice that "country" is missing. I guess there aren't a lot of people who "think my tractor is sexy" in the city. However, who could negate "The Devil Went Down to Georga," the Bandit's theme "East Bound and Down" or "CONVOY"?!!! This here is the rubber duck and I'm about to lay the hammer down! HAAAAAAA!!!

Talk to you all later.,

Hugs MG~

[J.D. DIAMOND] Wednesday, May 06, 2009 4:13:40 AM

(lol!) Wow guido,I have to admit that you have the most variety of music that you enjoy more than anyone I've ever seen.

I am the complete opposite....I am extreamly narrow minded, and I am the first to admit it......I only like "some" hard rock and the rest goes to "traditional" heavy, black, death, speed, thrash kinds of metal.

One of these days?!? Rent "Nice Dreams!" Many Cheech and Chongs are good but that one really pulls out all the stops start to finish!

The "scratch my balls" clip was from that gem of a film.

Hmmm...well, that sucks. The tell her... uh... ah, forget it.

You gotta watch The Sandlot, though. It's really cool!!  And one of these days I'll go to Blockbuster and rent a Cheech and Chong movie. The Mexican-Americans clip you posted was hilarious!!

Nope, never seen it. Sorry to say that she works for a peeper-doc and wears freakin' contacts!

Damn pretty to boot. Don't think an ogre like me has much by way of counter-attack! I am actually more interested into how she is going to "reshape my face" with her professional choice of glasses. I am thinking Elvis Costello, myself. HAAAAAAAAA!!!!  "Every day I write the book..."

Someone told you you look like Harry Potter?? That's not nice!!!! If that friend of yours wears glasses, tell her that she looks like...uh... like Squints from "The Sandlot" (have you ever seen that movie? It's funny!).

And why the heck are you bringing your laptop to your tub? You'll get electrocuted if it falls into the water!!! Isn't the rubber ducky enough?

But how am I supposed to see my webbook that I typically bring to stream along my favorite cartoons? VENTURE BROS Season #3 is OUTSTANDING, btw.

It is only when they fog up that causes me trouble. They are trying to do themselves away, I swear.

On a similar note, I am now getting all sorts of suggestions for my new glasses. I was crushed when someone said that I looked like Harry Potter with my old ones. His were round, damnit!! Same trendy friend said she would go to Walmart tomorrow to pick out her three fav pair to "bring me out of the '80s." Her phrasing, not mine.

I'll be sure to share before doing anything drastic.

Jeez...if it isn't one thing, it's another.

Here's a solution for your glasses-stomping: place them in the medicine cabinet. If not, then place them on the sink-countertop. When you're out of the tub, feel for them in those locations.

But I'll get wrinkles under my eyes from stretching them out! It is impossible, I tells ya! Poke myself in the damn eye for an hour just to have it turn inside out on my finger!

As for the glasses. I think they are trying to commit suicide. There is a good Portuguese expression to describe them now: ganso. Completely bent out of shape. Wearing them as I type and surprised that they are still on my face. Nothing a little duct tape can't fix. HAAAAAA!!!!

I just have to stop running so I can stop soaking my knee in the tub. THAT is where the problems occur. They fog up, I take them off and stomp them when blind getting out. Trying to commit suicide, as I say. I am sure of it.

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry...it must have flown in from that same window.

The key to putting in contacts is patience...lots of it! Oh, yeah!! And opening your eyes as wide as humanly possible using your fingers to hold down your eyelids (you'll get used to it).

And stop laying your glasses on the floor!! Place them on the night stand or the desk if you're not going to use them!!!   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Tuesday, May 05, 2009 10:59:34 PM)

Nice try at that whistle. Sounds like you are plagued by the infamous red-tailed flatulent warbler from what I can tell! HAAAAAA!!!

Hey, update on the contacts. CANNOT get those bastards in my eyes! Left one, especially. Had a follow-up with the doc last week and HE couldn't do it either. I swear, medieval torture. Turns inside out on my finger, stuck to my nose, folded on my eyelid. It is simply impossible. Glad to find that the doc couldn't get them in either. Ordered me up another pair that arrived today but I can't spare the time to see him until next Tues.

Oh yeah, in the meantime, I stepped on my glasses again! Oops!
[Vaillant 3.0] Tuesday, May 05, 2009 10:49:52 PM
 <----- Vail trying to whistle!

Well, when it chirps, it rarely takes a break. One chirp can last a good ten minutes without stopping. Plus there is a good amount of artificial lightning around my apartment complex, so maybe that's another reason.

Know how to reprogram a bird to let him know I don't go to the office on weekends?

As per your bird, could be any number of them. With no picture or sound, it would be tough to tell. Whistle its call for me!

Mocking birds this time of year would be a good candidate. The males chirp at night to protect their territory as they can't do it by sight alone. Also, bright lights (moon or artificial) can get many birds going as if it were daybreak.

Awwww!! I'm sure Fred doesn't want you to be late for work!!!

As of late, there's a bird that's been chirping non-stop outside my window every night. It could be midnight and it would still be chirping away like its the middle of the day. It's a wild bird too, so there's no use in complaining to the landlord about it. You have any idea what sort of bird it might be?   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Tuesday, May 05, 2009 10:30:02 PM)

Why fine and dandy, thank you. With an accident here and there, Nina has finally learned that the bathroom is outdoors, Calvin plopped down on his pillow as usual at this hour and the birds are already in bed upstairs. Fred is LOUD!! Nice bird but damn if he doesn't wake me up every morning. Either that or a dogfight. Fred imitating the alarm clock is just too much!

Turn about is fair play!

Just getting back from work. Been absolutely crazy lately. Budget cuts have pretty much doubled my workload thanks to a bunch of people getting canned and no new hires. At 10 pm, I think I am going to call it an early night from any more work.

Hows youse? Not kicking any chicken, I hope! I do not endorse animal cruelty!

I've hardly had time to breath lately! lol
But I'm back now. We're going on a farm trip this weekend and I'm really looking forward to it though. It's a friend's son's birthday and he really wanted us to go with. It should be fun. I miss living on a farm seriously! This one has cool stuff like cows, goats, ostrich, deer etc.. Oh and I'm taking my mountain bike along so that I can get some riding in too lol.. Well we'll probably screw around on the motorcyles too but I have to be disciplined on the cycling so it should be fun getting all muddy on a bike lol. I'll take some pics and post here when we back. Zoey loves sheep so she's going to be so happy.

Hang on a minute.. I just realized you're going to be seing AC/DC AND Priest??? OMG!! Woman! I envy you!! You're so lucky!!!!!

Morning metal family! Off to work soon, then this afternoon my husband and I have a meeting with a lady at a bank about home loans, exciting lol.
Hope you all have a great day, I will be back later!
[joedraper] Monday, May 04, 2009 12:59:56 PM

Sometimes I think the best seasons are spring and autumn. I love the inbetweenness of it. Not too hot nor too cold. There's something about that hot cup of coffee after some time in the rain that just makes it taste that wee bit better lol (speaking of wich, I reckon round about now is a great time for a cup.)

I"m planing on a nice little veggie and herb garden when spring comes around again. It's a bit late to start planting now but I'm researching on cultivating a propper compost heap and trying to figure out a way to keep little insects away without using pestacides. I cringe at the thought of what these comercial veggie farmers put into our bodies through insecticides and pesticides. Organic is great but I'd love to have my own little veggie garden so I'm going to do a good job of it this year.

GOING OUT IN THE RAIN CAN BE FUN. WE HAS A HARD DRIZZLE HERE IN NEW YORK ALL DAY YESTERDAY. WE PLAYED TWO LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL GAMES THEN I SPENT THE REST OF THE DAY GARDENING. WITH SPRING COMING SOME OF THE VINES ARE GOING WILD. I NEEDED TO CUT THEM BACK ALREADY.  A HOT CUP OF COFFEE AND GETTING MY HANDS IN THE DIRT FELT GOOD.

IN ANOTHER MONTH I'LL BE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE COLD. I DON'T LIKE THE 80 - 90 DEGREE DAYS

Don't you just love it when the week starts off good? Today has just felt like such a great monday. I don't know why but it just did. I managed to get a lot of things done today and I may even be able to squeeze in an hour of writing before the day  is done. Winter is creeping in but I'm sort of enjoying the cold. Not that it's very cold just yet but cool enough to pull out my blankie and start living in my sweat pants in the evenings lol. Cycling is getting a bit tough though because of rain more often  now, but wtf.. I'm not scared of getting wet lol.
