well actually i was doing some research lastnight cuz i want to know wut the setlist will look like, and rob halford in an interview said tht they will try to keep it roughly the same through the whole tour because alot of changes can be bad and etc. but why wouldnt they do living after midnight whn they are doing british steel album from begining to end?

The set list I saw was from concerts in March at several different venues. Only one of them had Living after midnight. The rest of them were virtually the same. But maybe they are considering this a different tour. You are right about the British Steel Tour.  I just figured most bands dont change set list that much between legs of tours. I hope your right and I am wrong.

No Living After Midnight. Atleast 3 songs off Painkiller. No Victim of Changes. Nothing off of Turbo. I know it is not a favorite by all JP fans but they do a killer Out in the Cold last time I saw them. They do 2 songs off of Defenders of the Faith: Eat me Alive and Rock Hard Ride Free. I like both of those songs but not what I would pick off of the album. Though they are doing Devils Child which is one of my absolute favs. I hope they tweak the set list for the US.

That's alot of thought in there HB. Maybe I should look at myself as well. I have said things at times about people that maybe I should not have. But, I never said anything that was not prompted by someone else's  own public actions.  Perhaps, I should have taken the proverbial "high road" and never said a thing, but by in large we all get tired of some consistent  things that don't change about this board.  NO people I am not making a reference to anyone in specific here so don't draw that from it!
What is a good member?
Someone who is above all this all the time? HB, I ask you very repectfully to show me a perfect member. We all have flaws and faults and we all get upset at times when, maybe had we walked away, we would have been able to restrain ourselves.
This is a board comprised of human beings and we all have feelings and we all can be hurt.  
We can also all have fun, get along for much of the time! We all have joys and we all have our lows, but we are the human collective that is this "Metal family" we have become.
Perhaps, you who don't like me find me ingenuine, and perhaps you who know me, know that I am sticking my neck way out there for no good reason, except I think it needs to be said.

So… What makes a good member?

 

Well, a good member is hard to define.  You would think they should like priest, but thinking about it, they could contribute in lots of threads without it.  A bad member would slam the band on a regular basis, but a good member need not love everything they do.

 

A good member should get along with most people, but not be a pushover or “sheeple” that lets everyone walk all over them.  They should stand up for what they believe in.  This includes standing up for friends, although, if you disagree with your friend, your choices are

  • Publicly disagree
  • Disagree in PM
  • Do nothing, let it pass

 

Agreeing with someone just because you are friends is stupid.  It’s a waste of intellect, think for yourself. 

 

 A good member never brings a PM conversation public, and never holds who their friends are talking with or friends with against them. 

 

There are good members who regularly contribute, are well thought of and general do well. 

There are good members who rarely post, but when they do, see above

There are bad members who try to create shit with every post.  They are easily spotted and hardly worth the time to click the ignore button.  Worth a laugh though mostly.

Then there are the members who try to spread shit and are insidious.  They sneak in pretending to be good, get into pm games etc…. they are the worst kind of scum.  They are the hardest to ban because they are so sneaky, but they are the worst.  They must be shunned at all cost.  Sadly they are the hardest to see, and cause the most pain. 

 

Soy, on that note, I am glad to hear that you used your life to a purpose outside of this board, if I might suggest, the world would be a better place if you spent more time with the kids.  DF, on the same note, where is that costume, you didn’t wear it when I was there?

No offense here DF, but I don't have transport to get around, Johannesburg has no public transport to speak of, so going out is not really an option for me. Years ago, Craig had a student hit into his car door and wreck it pretty badly. So the guy offers to pay for it and then later he gets a letter in the post from the guy's father saying that 'we refuse to pay you any damages because if you were not driving on that road my son wouldn't have driven into you'. Needless to say he paid up before it went to court lol.

was a real minor accident, no ticket issued, then 2 years later this scumbag sues me.  never did hear what happened, insurance co handled, but what a farce.  he had no damage

It gets better.. I call her to get her details and she wont give them to me. So Craig (my husband) takes the phone to speak to her and she gives it to her husband/boyfriend whatever.. so he says they're at the precinct and they've reported the accident so I don't need to do anything. Craig asks to speak to the officer handling the case and suddenly he gives us their details,, hmm..

We go to the precinct, read the docket she's opened and she says I stopped in front of her for no apparant reason.. I explain to the officer where and how the accident actually happened and she bursts into laughter and goes and tells the other officers.. first time they'd heard of stopping at a yeild sign to avoid driving into oncomming traffic as 'stopping for no apparant reason'. So they took down my statement and said not to worry she was so clearly in the wrong.. even if I had 'stopped for no apparant reason" FOLLOWING DISTANCE.. and that came from the cops!

Another thing in my favour is that at the time of the accident there happened to have been a tow truck parked on the side of the road who saw the whole thing.

I still wonder what they're hiding but I've already taken the car for estimates.. right now all I care about is that she pays for my repairs and hopefully along the process learns a valuable lesson on driving skills.

wow, got to like dumb people.  when I get a free moment at work I like to read the accident reports (work for a car rental co).  man there are some dumb people.  

I got a phone call once from the police in Banff, we had a renter stoped at a level crossing, waiting for a train.  another car, also ours stops behind.  third car, also ours stops.  then suddenly for some reason this guy hammers on the gas, pushes car 2 into car 1.  WTF..  luckily no one was hurt, and the car didnt get pushed into the train.  then the guy was pissed that I wouldnt get him another car.

Some stupid woman was driving behind me today and when I came to a yeild sign, just about to enter a slipstream, she just rams her car into the back of mine... I mean really folks.. how hard is it to remember that following distance is there for a reason? I am so beyond tired of people driving like total idiots. What gives them the right? It seems that there are more and more bad drivers on the roads these days. I look after my car, am an extremely observant driver and respect and obey rules of the road. I respect that I need to take responsibility for my life as well as those fellow road users. The only reason this whole thing happened was because this woman was not paying attention and had her car pretty much as close to my back wheel she could possibly have it. I'm furious. Thankfully, my kids were not in the car. The car is damaged again. This is the second.. no I correct myself, third time that some idiot has caused damage to my car. How on earth do you just drive straight into the back of someoene's car?? STUPIDITY that's how!

This is actually the first time my calf cramped up...usually my left back thigh cramps up. I remember having those cramps and lying in bed in agony for a few minutes. Next thing I know I'm massaging my whole leg at 2 in the morning and praying for the pain to go away. I didn't think it was from low Potassium levels, though. Still, it SUCKS!!!!!!

When I don't get enough calcium for a while, my calf cramps up and I wake up screaming! Are you getting enough dairy products? When it happens to me, I make sure I drink my milk and all is better again.

  • Limit or avoid drinks with alcohol or caffeine. These can make you dehydrated, which means your body has lost too much fluid.
  • Make sure you are eating healthy foods (especially if you are pregnant) that are rich in calcium, potassium, and magnesium.
  • Ride a stationary bike to condition and stretch your muscles.
  • Stretch your leg muscles for a few minutes before you go to bed.
