OH? Well, it is just my opinion, man. Really. They just don't do much for me right now. Same with Owens when he was with Priest. That music does NOT sound like Priest to me. Sounds WAY too "modern" and edgy to be Priest. Again, opinion.

Damn i hope not, at the show they were on fire man, honestly one of the best shows ive seen. They were talking about putting out a new album with Roth and i hope it goes through. That would rule!!! 20 years later....again with Roth!!! But who knows maybe we can blame it all on Eddie's kid Wolfgang, hahaha. Its all that little basterds fault!!! He was actually a pretty talented bassist for being in his early 20's i think maybe even younger.

HAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! Oh, I do understand. I truly do.

Roth's voice is a big part of VH for me as well. It reminds me of their first couple albums. Eddie is a genius, I know that. He is great. but Roth and his style helped to define VH and they have not been the same without him. In fact, they are not the same WITH him anymore. The special something they had in '78 is gone, from what I have heard.

I agree, Sammy could blow away Roth in a singing contest. But I feel Roth is the right man for VH. He's got the act for the show, seeing them live with Roth was the VH i want to see again. By the way  DF, i try and let it go, but certian people tend to grind my gears the wrong way, it really cheeses me off when people rip on Halford. He's the Metal God for crying out loud.

To be very honest, I have never really considered DLR a "great vocalist" at all. I think he is a showman and a TREMENDOUS front man. An entertainer. A "pretty face" (years ago) that the ladies love. Vocally speaking, he is not all that good (as far as I am concerned) but he has that ability to work a crowd that makes him a great "Rock Front man". Hagar has far more vocal control and musicianship but I am not a fan of him at all.

Roth is more like Mick Jagger for me. Jagger is not a "great" vocalist , either. He is an accomplished showman. He also is a musical genius and I say that  because he has the longevity to back it up! Anyway, to stay on "topic", I would vote Roth all the way. I enjoyed VH when they first hit the scene and stopped caring when Roth left.

I hate Van Halen, and Sammy Hagar, don't like either bands or vocalists. But I would have to go with David Lee Roth as being the better vocalist, and better persona for the band "Van Halen".

Thanks DF, some guys arent happy unless you beat what you meant into their brains, like a certian member who has a hate on for Halford.

Buddy get over yourself, im just saying that IMO (DO YOU KNOW WHAT IMO MEANS??.....IN MY OPINION) DLR is a better Vocalist than Hagar. The ORINGINAL line up was with David Lee Roth so in saying that, he was a part of their original sound. They became more popish with Hagar. I like i few songs with hagar but i like the older stuff better. You don't agree with me then fine thats your opinion, but your not calling me out on shit, your going to call someone out on their opinion? Everyone has different opinions on here man, you'll notice that after you 20th post, so either accept it or maybe find a new website, you wont last on here "calling people out"

Sorry man but I have to call you out on this one. Eddie Van Halen is the most influential and original guitar player of the last 30 years and you say David Lee Roth is Van Halen. I don't think so. Eddie Van Halen is the sound and always will be. Yeah Roth is part of the original sound but they continued on just fine with Sammy Hagar. You can replace Roth but Eddie can never be replaced.
