Wow. That was a really moving entry. You have me in tears here. I've never looked at it in that way before, but from now on I will. Hang in there, Joe. It'll take time, but you'll get there eventually. :) [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by joedraper from Tuesday, February 09, 2010 6:33:24 AM)

Hey guys 'n girls...
We had the funeral yesterday. Was an incredibly hard day for every single person there. The Church was packed and I think there may have even been a seating shortage. As sombre and heartbreaking as the service was, the Pastor said some amazing things and if I can for a minute of your time take a leaf out of his book, he did not preach about 'repenting your sins etc' but rather about living each day to its fullest. Grasp this life with both hands and get stuck right in there. We never ever have tomorrow, we only have today so lets grab it, live it and enjoy every second of it.
If you have a problem with someone in your life, sort it out or cut it free. You just never know. There is so much that I wanted to still say and do with Hymne, those dreams are gone now, forever. What I do have is the most amazing memories of what we had as close friends, when I look at her boys, her parents and her boyfriend, I think of how much I'm hurting (trust me, it is a very deep seering pain) yet it is a fraction compared to what they are going through and I'm gutted by seeing how much they are hurting.
If there is something you have been wanting to do, but keep putting off. Please, do it before it is too late. Never stop dreaming, never stop learning and never ever stop loving life.
I also want to say a huge thank you to the friends here who have been a huge comfort to me in this horrible, horrible time of my life. Bare with me folks.. I'll be back to my 'loose canon' of a Joe soon lol

Yeah, I spend a lot of time in the south of Spain and that is quite similar.
Never realized it was a German adaptation as well. Thanks. Always glad to learn new things. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Phantom A6 from Monday, February 08, 2010 4:32:55 PM)

A wonderful day, indeed!! What a great SuperBowl yesterday, huh? I must admit, the Princess and I had a good time at the party we attended. Four rows of 10 reclining leather chairs, sloping floor, HUGE screen and even those fancy drapes around it just like at the movies!! HA!!!!!!!!!!! Of course, elsewhere in the "estate", there were various rooms with huge TVs and whatnot so it was quite a "to do".
Glad the Saints won as well. I am no big fan of either team but something about Manning just rubs me the wrong way. The Saints were a "feel good" story for their state and it was a very good game, I think. Had a great time and now I am resting quietly. Hope all that watched had fun as well!!!

A wonderful day, indeed!! What a great SuperBowl yesterday, huh? I must admit, the Princess and I had a good time at the party we attended. We ended up watching in the "home theater" room of the house. That's right! These people have a friggin FULL ON movie theater built onto their house!! A message well said, but unlikely to be heeded my friend.
Congrats to the SAINTS!!! Now I don't have to pay up on the double or nothing loss I took when they beat the Vikes and I won a lunch today, thanks!! : )
I see things are running amok again, so sad!! I think, not that anyone cares, that we are ALL here because of Priest and they rule the roost here. Obviously we all don't see eye to eye at times, but WHY we are here should always be respected and put in it's proper place (honorable reasons or otherwise, we know the difference). It's nice when we all get along and play nice, but some folks just can't see past their own nose(s) to deal with what's real and enjoy each other as I think we ALL bring something unique of ourselves to this Board.

LOL cricket takes ages to play too, but there's different formats - 20/20 (each team gets 20 overs to bat, so it's fast and lots action usually), one day and test match. A test match can go for 5 days. Test matches bore me cos stuff moves slow and it's all about tactics. So I get bored with that fast LOL! Find a really good psychologist, to study such a phenomena. It's certainly an extension of a very parnoid and manipulative mind. I don't have to read the posts as I know exactly what to expect. Why bother. I prefer to ignore it and go on with my life.
That game, as much as I am not a great fan of football, was an awesome game! The Saint's really looked lack luster the first half and then came out like they were a whole different team! Got to hand it to them! They had one hell of a great night! Congrats to the Saints, and much sorrow for the Colts as I thought they had the edge and could have done it, but they just let the game slip from their grasp.

Becks, it's hot and sunny here too. I also burn so easily, I have a permanant cycling-shorts tan. It makes me look gay but.. ah wtf lol. Even when I'm outside with a bikini on and tan over that you still see more definition where my cycling clothes go up to so I have a three quater tan on my arms and then the shorts and socks mark lol. So as far as I'm concerned, there is no such thing as too much sunblock.

I don't know how to deal with this. My God.
I'll never see her again, never talk to her on the phone again and if I had any idea that wednesday was going to be the last time I'd ever see her.. Got 6 inches of snow yesterday. Most in 10 years. Couldn't resist a few donuts in a vacant parking lot while I was out and about yesterday. If I only had a dollar for every car I saw yesterday that had an inner tube strapped to it's roof.

Hey everyone, we're home from AC/DC! HOLY CRAP it was a great show! They had two Kiwi bands opening, The Checks (thoroughly meh) and Shihad (pretty damn cool) and AC/DC came on at about 8:55pm. What a show, they played a slew of their hits, Back in Black, The Jack, Shoot to Thrill, and they played for just under 2 hours. Angus did a massive guitar solo with some audience interaction, and he did a funny little strip tease to The Jack, revealing AC/DC boxers! LOL!!!!!! It was a spectacle really, awesome props and wee cartoon movies - one to open the show with Rock n Roll Train, and one that went with War Machine. We're a bit battered and bruised this morning, we were up against the barrier of our area and got smashed! Craig and his sister were trying to stop me from getting squished LOL being onlt 5'2"/160cm and about 127 pounds, I would have gotten squished big time if they hadn't pushed idiots back. In the first half hour over half a dozen people got pulled out from our area alone. Including a girl who collapsed only 20 minutes in to AC/DC's set. All in all, it was a fantastic show, and well worth every cent we spent on the tickets. My favourite parts included Angus going up on a hydraulic platform thing during his solo, Shoot to Thrill (one of my favourite AC/DC songs) and just the atmosphere, which was fantastic. We were all very sore afterwards, and this morning, but it was worth it! Edited at: Thursday, January 28, 2010 6:08:21 PM

AWESOME Becks!! I'm so glad you had a great time, except for the bruises of course. It sucks to be against the barrier when all the idiots start pushing to try to get closer. I've learned to brace my arms and knees against it which helps somewhat. I guess all those years of playing basketball paid off, LOL! I loved your review! I wish we could have seen them this past summer when they were touring, it sounds like we missed a really good show! Glad they played your favorites too! I wish I could find the cartoon, but long ago the Far Side cartoon released one I laughed my butt off about!
It was a picture of exhausted people doing excercise and in a cave like dwelling with fire about. Their instuctor was the devil and he was wearing the 80's style aerobic outfit and yellling "Only 1,000,000,000 more leg lifts to go!" The Cartoon was entitled "Aerobics in Hell" lol

Hey GD, I know exactly what you are saying. I cannot begin to count the number of memories that flooded my mind as we walked into that bar last night! The nights in L.A. in the tiny bars. The LOOOOONG parties. Oh boy.
In any event, I truly appreciate ALL your kind remarks! It was a great night and I honestly wish you guys could have been there.
