I agree JD, 2016 would have been ideal. Didn't happen that way unfortunately, oh well lol.

Everybody has thier own opinions obviously,I think Nostradamus was bad timing for the band because with Rob fresh coming back to the band, they were gaining momentum again with AOR...

Too bad they couldnt of released a metal masterpiece ( normal heavy metal album) in 2008.....then again another in 2011....then now 2014....that would of givin us 4 lps of heavy metal since Rob came back.....and 2016 would of been ideal for Nostradamus.

HAAAA!!! Like me shouting for the Lions to win ONE Thanksgiving Day! LOL!!! Honestly? I think we have a better shot here with the new album.

Don't get me wrong, though. I DO like Wilkinson's artwork. As you know, I own a number of his prints. Talented guy!

Yeah Ripper was just NOT the right guy for the job,not that anyone could replace Rob anyways, but Ripper should of been the last one to pick imo.

And I hope the new lp cover is not in the vien of AOR ,or EPITAPH artwork....

I may bitch about the band blah blah...but its more like me bitching at the Patriots because I want them to win.

Goodfellas! "What the fuck is so funny about me?!?" LOL!

Lochness? BLEAH!! Crappy subject, crappy tune. I say the same for Demolition. ANY Ripper-fronted album/DVD for that matter. Fine singer, wrong band. Sadly, he seems to have a habit of such choices. Good guy, though.

Opps a double post eh....

That was a tribute to "Jimmy Two Times" ...cause he said everyting twice, like "I'm gonna go get the papers, get the papers".
[J.D. DIAMOND] Saturday, April 19, 2014 4:23:29 PM
I was not thrilled with "Revolution" ....I still don't like the track....Lochness was just too dull, not sure why they wrote that song.

But the other 8 tracks on AOR are classic Priest. I also like the sound of that album, its very old school on pourpose the way they intended it to be.....

This new album I sure hope we get 8 out of 10 songs that we like, and hopefully the album's art work is not dull.....lets hope they give us something to look at. The WORST album cover by Priest to me has to be Demolition.Just plain and dull, boring.

Me too! Liked AOR and you know I loved Nostra (first part, especially). From what I saw in the last concerts, this new one could be a killer. Here's hoping!

Fuck it, lets hope for a good album.  8/10 is what I liked on AOR, so, if this matches that I will be happy.

Guido, and that is some cool history about Heidelberg,I knew Detroit was your homeland, old stomping ground, thats a very awsome picture of the back of the house, obviously I've never seen it.Sometimes simplicity can strike such a statement with art ,very cool.
[J.D. DIAMOND] Saturday, April 19, 2014 3:11:31 AM
Head Banger man, yeah bro I think this may be it...

I sure remember 1982 (I was 12 yrs old) waiting for Screaming For Vengeance to come out....shit what a memory....

Same with 1984's DOTF ....the anticipation for a Judas Priest release was so exciting especially being a kid back then.....

Some say "its not Priest" without K.K. ...well perhaps it isn't....but I just "don't care" even though I do love mr. Downing's time in Priest.....I'm really stoked to hear Richie Faulkner's solos and style injected into the studio.

Man I hope I like ALL the songs.....that would be awsome....lets hope for at least 8 out of 10 tracks will kick butt!

Funny thing, JD? Those idiots don't even know that the house was set ablaze and burned down last year! Reaction? It generated about $50,000+ worldwide for constant monitoring of the street(s) - Heidelburg is actually a couple of blocks - $20,000+ for info on who set the blaze AND inside "hits" out for whoever did it. That arsonist best have some protection as the house (and others that were burned in late 2013-14) were icons. Couldn't buy them for all the $ in the world. Dumbasses posting about things they know nothing about here.

Personally, I liked the back of that house better. Photos from last summer.

I'm sure no one cares about my tax situation and I wasn't expecting to comment on it this much. Probably my explanation more than you not understanding. Up until 2 years ago I worked a regular job that took money each pay for taxes. At the end of the year I still had to pay each year. 2 years ago I became an independent business operator (sell product to stores). I get a check (or a bill) each week for product received and sold. I save 20% when i get a check and at the end of the year go to an accountant with all my expenses and figure out what I made and what I owe. Both year's I saved more than I needed.

[guidogodoy] Wednesday, April 16, 2014 1:57:20 AM
Better yet, that deserves a MAGIC JOHNSON (Michigan State!) behind the back pass + slam dunk!! How ignorant can a person actually BE?! The Heidelberg Project is absolutely amazing. Bet that coward wouldn't even get out of his car to see it if he (it) even FOUND it!

I was there last year and even caught Tyree posting some new albums on the house. Fantastic artist who has earned world-wide fame. Amazing part of Detroit.

Evens, or whatever other names you call yourself, you have NO idea as to the Heidelberg Project. That house was the "House of Soul." All those LPs were Motown. It was priceless.

Keep showing your ignorance. Have you ever BEEN to Detroit? I bet you couldn't even find the street you post.
[guidogodoy] Tuesday, April 15, 2014 7:34:22 PM
Ah...the catch-all. Pay too much up front vs. the pay and have the rest due on April 15.

Still, I don't get how you DON'T have any more taken out of your paycheck but still pay into the thousands.

No matter. As anyone will tell you, pay YOURSELF first! I am lucky to have no debt at all (including house) but only after a lot of good advice / readings.

[Budred] Tuesday, April 15, 2014 4:41:49 PM

You misunderstood my post. I said I never had to pay in the thousands but I've always had to pay. My bills generally ranged 250.00 to 700.00. This was when money was taken automatically. I'm not trying to go back and forth but I guess technically now I do pay in the thousands but that's because I don't have anything taken out of my pays. I save more than I owe so I give myself a refund after I pay them. I get deductions but they're all work related. Truck repair, supplies, etc..

[guidogodoy] Tuesday, April 15, 2014 3:15:24 PM
Never had to pay?!? Damn, man! Where are your deductions?! I put new windows in my house (well, half, at least) and STILL can't claim an eco-improvement as I still fall below basic deductions. HEALTHCARE costs a fortune in this country. Biggest and easiest way to fall into debt. I have a plan (and actually had to give blood today as part of the PPO agreement) but still pay at least $2000 out of pocket each year.

Ah, I best stop. I could rant forever.

[Budred] Tuesday, April 15, 2014 12:27:20 PM

I never had to pay back in the thousands but I paid yearly for over a decade. Had a brief stint of about 3 years of refunds and now with my job (IBO) I deduct the taxes myself and save it throughout the year and then pay an accountant to tell me what I owe. He suggests I send money quarterly and collect a refund from them but I save it and send what I owe.

[Becks] Tuesday, April 15, 2014 2:14:30 AM
I would totally go to an accountant if I was in that situation.

Here, I have a massive amount taken out per paycheck (taxes + "deductions" = a shitty HMO, retirement fund, term life insurance, and basic life that ALL suck as the copays prove) then the massive April bite. ALWAYS have to pay and is always in the four figures. If I sat to think out what I pay in purchase taxes on top? Hell, I might even sell a guitar.

This state has one of the highest rates in the nation. Only drives people to other states or online.
[Budred] Monday, April 14, 2014 10:29:52 AM

An accountant for me also. Give him $175.00 so he can tell me how much I can now graciously (sarcasm) give to my government. I save a percentage throughout the year that so far has yielded me a little back. For many years I had to pay, it sucks. Technically I'm still paying but I save more than I need so I'm refunding myself.(lol)

[Head banger] Monday, April 14, 2014 7:58:05 AM
oh.  we do math.  the math isnt so bad.  its the figuring out which deductions you can claim, and what you cant, and where to claim it, and how the provincial tax is different from federal, and ..... yeah, I take mine to an accountant now.

Yeah that's what we do here, you file a personal tax summary but you don't have to do any calculations yourself, the IRD does it - if you get a refund, yay! If you owe, boo.

Age will take over eventually so I've decided that I'm not going to say anything about slowing down on the shows anymore. I went to see a Cleveland band last Saturday called Ventana. No it's not MRH  ...but the keyboardist is from MRH. (lol). I like them. They wear gas masks so they (slightly) resemble the MRH look but the music is quite a bit different. More industrial sounding. I'm going to see a Columbus based band this Saturday called "Xfactor1". I think some of you guys might like them. No masks and a little more basic metal. They have a song or two with a few rap lines but they're metal for the most part. I'm surprised that they're not bigger than they are. They do a really good version of "The Stroke" by Billy Squier. I'll post a video. These two bands help me realize that there are some local talents that put on fantastic shows with no fanfare. The show next Saturday is 3 bucks. How can you beat that? Also have a couple of MRH shows next month, ROTR next month, and Mayhem in July. You only live once so I'm trying to live. (if that makes sense)

[Becks] Saturday, April 12, 2014 8:12:26 PM
Tax time sounnds like a real nuisance. The tax year finished here March 31st, thankfully most individuals don't file tax returns, it's taken from your pay (PAYE - pay as you earn) before you even see it. You can file a personal tax summary which Inland Revenue calculate and often you get a tax refund from paying too much tax, which is nice lol. I had to file tax returns when I was self employed and hated it!

HB, after the yearly chunk the IRS just bit out of my ass, I am willing to try the across the border, double dependent claim!!!

I am certainly not the person to ask about what the standard deduction on a kid is but I think it is double the standard deduction = $6000 or so.

Hey, all I know is that I can't ever make it close to an "itimized" return. Standard deduction is all I get meaning that I always pay up the ass. CURSE YOU AND A POX ON THEE __________ !!!! (fill in the blank...Reagan, Bush, Obama, the Senate, Enron, Santa Claus...).
