Oh JDD, don't say that! That would be so sad. I know it's inevitable, but they've been around my entire life. They started when I was born, and well...I can't imagine not getting something from Priest every few years. Who would ever have thought that rockers in their 50's and even 60's now are still rockin' it out on tour. I'm tremendously grateful and take every chance I can to see them live, because you just never know. I am hoping for a back to the Black Country true "British" heavy metal album to round things out too. THAT'S who they are. And that's who we love. |

I think that you are right Ron.......I personally believe that Judas Priest only has 1 more studio album left under thier belt and I really believe this........hell....we may not even get another one at all!!
But if we do...I really think that this one will be the band's last album going with gut instincts of course, but sometimes these instincts are correct. And if this is going to be the band's last studio album
I would hope that they pull off the gloves and duke out a real true british heavy metal album done the "traditional" way!!!!!!!!! If they don't,it will SUCK. When they reunited , AoR was released relatively fast, and it was (is) awesome!! If you told me then that it'd be at least 5-6 years before we'd get another Metal album, I would have said you're nuts!! But here we are...
It's hard to imagine Priest retiring, but if it takes this long between, we may only get one more studio album, and that would really suck...!!! | | J.D. None the less,I feel that we only have 1 more studio album from Judas Priest ahead of us,.....after that I think we might see the band finally say the "R" word and yes I mean "retire".
So this next album is going to be a huge factor in this band's career.......it is going to be so critical. Judas Priest should take a step back and think very hard about what thier next LP is going to sound like....if there will be a next.
And yes Ron....we haven't heard any new true "metal" from Judas Priest since March 2005 when Angel Of Retribution was released.
And with tracks on it like 3 of Judas Priest's best songs of all time with - 'Judas Rising"........"Demonizer"....and... "Hellrider".... it is not going to be an easy task thats for sure.

Ok, I just saw Coldplay last night, and they were freakin' awesome! Now, I think that Judas Priest should be play a handful of Nostradamus shows, and give away their live CD to attending fans. I thought that was a nice touch by Coldplay, giving away a live cd (free for download too) and going all out on their CURRENT album. C'mon fellas, let's hear some of your "new" tunes already. I love love love your old stuff, but there's enough live dvds, VHS tapes (Beta for some of us out there) and YouTube. What does Nostradamus (the song) sound like live??? How about "Nella tentazione...Cercando lagloria...Il prezzoda pagare, e'la caduta dell 'uomo"...??? I bet it would sound freakin' awesome too. This is the time to play it, not 5 years later. Why put it out, if you're not going to play it live? |

yes, whats the point of making a record and not touring it!!! they created a masterful piece of work, and it deserves to be preseted live with bombastic production! who cares if it takes a year to get it together, it deserves to be presented...even if in smaller theater venues, andeven if prices are a bit more expensive! |

I would like to see Nostradamus in it's entirety. I agree that a full tour is completely unlikely, and unfortunately, would not be as well received, however there are still fans out there who like this album, who see it for what it is (a fine Priest offering with some mega gems on there), and who would like to see it performed live. I can only hope that they strategically plan them in places that most people can reach without having to turn over their paycheques for the next 2 months. Rob, Glenn, KK, Ian & Scott, you guys did an awesome job with Nostradamus, take the complaints with a grain of salt, as I'm sure you do. Not everyone wants the next 40 songs you write to be rehashes of Painkiller. I appreciate you're keeping it fresh with a touch of nostalgia! |

I agree one million percent 1,000,000 %!!!!!!!!!! Make that one trillion percent!!!! Enough is enough, they need to go back into the studio and rethink thier strategy here guys.

If thats what it takes to get "Nostradamus" out of thier systems, then let it be done! Do a full tour of the whole album Nostradamus,do a DVD .....do a tv show of Nostradamus for christ's sake just get it out of thier systems!
This band does not have much time left,I'd like to see them put out a normal heavy metal album again before they are done. PLEASE!! [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Cobras-Aura from Thursday, May 21, 2009 6:09:31 PM) |

I would love to see it, although I think it's unlikely it will be a tour. I can see them doing a one-off show like they did with the Royal Albert Hall or something. With the new live album coming out it's going to be even less likely we'll see a live Nostradamus release (and that would be a damn shame). |

Like a lot of others, I don't think there should be a full blown Nostradamus Tour, but I largely welcome a mini tour of up to 30 dates, for select venues around the world. It would be perfect to add it as the last leg of the Priest Feast tour, after this North American tour, and then release a multi-disc DVD of the Priest Feast Tour, including a Priest Feast show, plus a full Nostradamus show and maybe some interviews and bonus backstage footage and the story of Nostradamus etc. But I definitely think they should do a number of select venue dates to play the album in its entirety. |
