I read that too. It's in Heavy Metal Painkillers but I can't find it. I don't think it was DOTF as I found a quote from Ian stating it was one of his favorite albums. That was right around the time Rob quit chemicals (per se). I LOVE DOTF. But I does have "kind" of a depressing theme.
I personally could get real mellow listening to Night comes down, Heads, HD/DOTF even sentinel. Not that the music doesn't have power - it does. It is just emotional. (Especially AFTER a few scotches ;-> )
So I think that Ian could feel that way.
Plus I did read it...............

Ian Hill said this right after finishing the "Defender's of the Faith" tour regarding the album.
BTW - This Outlook/view from Ian and IF shared by the rest of the band, (and what ever chemicals they may have been involved in), could have been an influence as to why Turbo was so "UPPY" in content.
Just my thoughts.
