Know the feeling. Nobody in Sheffield bothers with this whole highway code thing- indicating is optional, and if you go through a red light at a crossing... well there are plenty more pedestrians. I think it's bonus points if you hit a student. I would never ride a bike, I'm far too aware of my own meagre cycling skills to go up against the local bus drivers in rush hour!

Don't get too pumped up for the album hellrider,it is really not an in your face kind of album,I don't think one track is brutal or heavy at all,Get Into The Spirit is not a heavy song either.Unless you just want to hear Rob's voice,I wouldn't get too excited about the Winter Songs album,I'd hate to see you get disappointed after waiting this long ect...

Apparently its 2384 miles from Bristol to Timbuktu! Sadly the council are going to take it down- something about it making road signs less clear.
[J.D. DIAMOND] Tuesday, November 10, 2009 10:25:03 PM
Yes very original, even if someone is not into thier stuff(like myself for example)they can still or should still be able to see and hear that they are not cloning anybody else, that deserves respect.

Oh god Linkin Park haha. There only good song is like Numb, someone should do a metal cover, it'd be better for sure.

I just really love Rammstein. Like you said, very original band.

[J.D. DIAMOND] Tuesday, November 10, 2009 4:30:26 PM
Oh yeah Joe I've seen tons of footage and tracks by the band,my friend Chris at work has ALL Rammstein and I've heard "Reise Reise" many times at work! LOL! I'm not saying they are bad Joe,they are just not my thing thats all,I wasn't trying to say they are a Limp Biscuit....I don't even know how to spell thier retarted name either! HAHAHA!! Yeah Maybe I shouldn't use "nu-metal" as that sounds like Disturbed or Lincn Park...while Rammstein are "industrial".

The only album I've really cared for from an industrial artist and its just one album from them is 1998's album "Chaosphere" by "Meshuggah" but I don't like any other Meshuggah album,I heard Chaosphere right when it came out in 1998 and they have never released anything like it since.  But their live shows and showmanship are definately incredible Joe,sorry for the confusion my friend! One thing is for sure...Rammstein didn't "copy" anybody...they came up with thier own style and sound, not just a clone of some band and even though they are not my thing,I can appreciate that.

Well there not nu-metal. There industrial, dance/electro tinged Metal. Nu Metal is more like Limp Bizcit or however you spell there retarded name.

Have you seen any live Rammstein footage? Are you aware of the show they put on haha?

Here I'll send you a PM with some of there finger moments.

I did some further research and by golly its true! LOL! Yes Judas Priest recorded 3 tracks with the producers "Stock,Aitken and Waterman" (S.A.W.) and the demo was called "The S.A.W.demo". The 3 tracks are in Judas Priest's possession and only the band members and the producers have ever heard it!! lol! They did a Diana Ross cover song and the other 2 tracks were the bands material but it was in the vien of something that the fans would freak out over so the band changed thier minds and decided not to release it to the public! LOL! Thats what happens when you turn your producer over to pop music producers in S.A.W.!! lol!

LOL hellrider!!! Well, don't worry that was 21 years ago and I doubt they would have any plans on rehashing this idea beings its true in the first place so I didn't post this to claim that this is the direction for the next album, but I was just having a laugh at what I saw here so don't take this the wrong way hellrider, but yeah what you said is exactly what I was thinking when I stumbled across this lol!! Could you imagine ...an entire album of material that would cater to Diana Ross fans? lol!!! I sure hope this wasn't true eh? lol!!!

I found this information on "Encyclopaedia Metallum" a site that lists almost every band's disography,I don't know if this is actually "true" so I'm not sold on this but it really makes me wonder....if they would of released something like this it would of been very disappointing.....a "Diana Ross cover song"???? LOL!!!!! We have the band members to thank for NOT releasing any of this if this is indeed true, but it really doesn't suprise me if they attempted something like this though! lol!!

Judas Priest - The S.A.W. Demo

Demo, self-produced
1988
[add/edit review]

The demo was recorded with pop producers Stock, Aitken, and Waterman (who
produced a string of English hits in the 1980s) shortly after
Ram It Down
was completed. The recordings were done as a one-off and Judas Priest never had
plans to work with Stock, Aitken, and Waterman for an album or other sort of
Judas Priest release (although Pete Waterman claimed that the band were
interested in doing a full album in this style, contradicting the statements
given by the band members). At the time, however, Tipton and Downing mentioned
in interviews that these songs (the two originals were written by Stock, Aitken,
and Waterman) could be used for a film soundtrack if the band were asked.
Halford suggested that the tracks would be released someday, but ultimately the
band decided against this, and said they realized doing so would probably cause
most fans to turn on the band.

Hmm... I confess I never was a fan of 'Painkiller' played live - on the album it rocks hard enough to make yer shoes bleed, but it seems to me to be more a song for the album than one to be played live. Compare Rob's vocals on any live performance of Painkiller to the ball-scouring, blistering power on the album (partly due to the various ways they were able to play with his voice in the studio), and it just never seems to cut it by comparison. I've always felt that Between The Hammer And The Anvil was a much more powerful song live, and was VERY happy when Maria and I went to see them in February at Wembley, because they played BTHATA and it was IN-F***IN'-CREDIBLE!!! Feel free to berate me now...

hey Vaillant yeah i dont think it was ripe yet.it was a little bit bigger than half the size of a normal pumpkin.yeah i remember doing something with it .i think i made a jack-o-lantern with it cant remember for  sure going back more than 20 years ago lol.all i remember for sure is it was green on halloween.i guess you need to plant them at a certain time for them to be ripe for halloween.

That's pretty odd. Maybe it wasn't ripe when you picked it out from the garden.

Did you make it into a Jack-o-Lantern?

Hey, it is 20 years later for me and I am still waiting for that sense of appreciation! LOL!

Maybe I am a late bloomer. I honestly still wake up sometimes with the nightmare that I had an assignment due, they called back my degree because I forgot to take this class, etc. Won't claim it wasn't a PAR-TAY, though. Miss going to Big 10 football games!!!!!

Heavy metal gamers break air guitar record

Buzz up!

June 17 2:22 P.M.

At the recent 2009 Download Festival in the U.K., 440 headbangers picked up imaginary instruments and simultaneously strummed along with Motorhead's classic rocker "Ace of Spades," setting an official Guinness World Record for - what else - the Most People Simultaneously Performing Air Guitar. The previous record? A measly 318.

Air Guitar

The raddest jam

But it wasn't just a spontaneous act of group rocking. The moment was orchestrated by game maker EA as a way to promote its upcoming heavy metal action game, Brutal Legend (which also explains why all 440 rockers were wearing the exact same shirt).

Kerrang FM's Christian Stevenson, who MC'ed the ridiculous record-breaking attempt, was unsurprisingly overcome with emotion.

"That was one of the raddest jams I've ever been involved with," he said. "The crowd played their air guitars better than Eddie Van Halen! Then they destroyed 'em good and proper. Who cares, right? They can go to the air guitar shop and get another one. Sick to the infinity of sickness! I want a crowd like that at every gig I'm at. Awesometacular – air guitar world records rule!"

Made-up words aside, it probably was a sight to behold. But 440 people playing air guitar at once doesn't seem that impressive. Heck, any decent touring band could smash that by simply asking everyone at a show to air-guitar to one of their songs, although they'll apparently need to put a Guinness World Record worker bee on the guest list if they want to make it official.
