Being out there was crazy, it was a sold out crowd and quite a few Iowa Fans were there too. Then it was back to relaxing on Sunday watching some PPV Wrestling and doing some gaming. Thank you, one and all! Its always so nice to see I have such wonderful friends here on this Board. Reminds me of days long passed. I do check occasionally but really just have not felt the desire to post. I appreciate all the PMs from you guys. Good friends all...
As mentioned, I am just very busy with the band and caring for the Princess and myself. The band thing really gobbles up my free time. We play a lot and practice constantly. Add to that the time it takes to work on new music and you can clearly see that there is VERY little time left to chat! We did manage to take a short vacation in August to the beach (I believe I posted a pic or two?) but, other than that, we are just SO busy. The Princess' youngest has moved out and we are ONCE AGAIN enjoying the bliss of a "child-free" home. For THAT, I am truly grateful! HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
I think the Princess is going out of town this coming weekend. Her and her sisters are going to the condo down in San Diego for an "All Girl" trip. Read into that what you will... HA!!!!!!! I have a show on Friday so I will be laying VERY low during her absence. Kind of looking forward to it, really. Just me and the cats... Well, you are all up to date, as it were. My love to you. My continued distain to the other...

Ooh, the weekend, I am finally back off to uni (was supposed to be leaving thursday, but, ya know, the weather was good, the river was high and I have a new slalom kayak sooo- no chance of going until I had to).

So, read the earlier work before the prequel, huh? It does make sense now that I think about it. An author would most likely only do a prequel if one of his books becomes a hit among his readers and pieces missing in it need to be filled or things need to be explained. Plus, it wouldn't make sense to do a prequel if it doesn't have an established base to begin with.

I say the FIRST book if you haven't yet read the prequel. Sounds really more like Silence of the Lambs than Star Wars. They made subsequent movies to the first then the prequel "Hannibal" showing what the young lad went through to bring him to his loony state in Silence. I own it but haven't seen it yet. No real desire either.

It sounds like a terrifying experience that would make even the most seasoned of drivers panic or even crash.
But a school in Canada is using a bizarre 3D optical illusion of a young girl crossing the road to try and make drivers slow down.
The image of a girl chasing after a ball is painted on the road and elongated to make it appear three-dimensional when seen from an approaching car.
The image of a girl rears up out of the road to alert drivers to their speed
Critics say that the child’s image could surprise drivers so much that they will slam on the brakes or even swerve off the road if they do not realise the girl is just an illusion.
At a distance it just looks like a marking on the road but when the car is 30 metres away it appears to suddenly rise up from the road.
When the driver is closer than 30 metres the image appears to sink back into the road.
If a car is travelling at the speed limit for the road, 30km/h, then he should be able to stop in time before he reaches the image.
Safety experts say the alarming image is designed to teach drivers to always be prepared for the unexpected.
The illusion is to be placed on the road outside École Pauline Johnson Elementary School in West Vancouver in Canada and will be accompanied by a sign which reads: ‘You’re probably not expecting kids to run into the road.’
Council bosses in the area say that the illusion will encourage drivers to drive defensively, as though a child could run out into the road at any moment.

Let's hope not, Becks. I also sit on a fault line which is one of the most active in the USA. They have been calling for another "big one" for some time but, so far, nothing major. Still, I do have earthquake insurance on the house.

In reality you take a chance living anywhere in NZ, as the whole country is astride a fault line. It's only a matter of time before an enormous one hits unfortunately. The time this one struck has a lot to do with the fact there has been no deaths, it struck at 4:35am local time.

I just read somewhere that the plane burst in to flames shortly after takeoff, not sure how accurate that is though, still a developing story. A skydiving plane, it'll mostly be tourists I daresay, unfortunately. It is a lovely glacier, I have been there and it is awe inspiring.

It had been a very long time since I'd seen / heard him sing last and here it is a full week later and I'm still riding high!! Of ALL the Metal bands I've ever listened to throughout my entire life, NOT ONE of them does for me what Priest and Halford do!! NO ONE else can scream like him AS WELL AS bring out the emotion in a beautiful ballad...NOT ONE!! I still have goosebumps!!

Here is the current status as of 3pm here today. Notice the bunch of bees trying to still get in the original opening while a ton are still around the end of the funnel. Dead bees clogging both ends.

Maybe it will be better when cooler weather sets in Guid. Of course the way the weather has been this year, I almost expect it to go from Damn Hot to Snow. Why not just skip fall as the weather skiped an actual Spring.
If your bee trap does not work, I think I would turn that funnel into a great 25 foot bee spray destroyer. Just a thought.

Bees? They are still there. Guy came by and said that they SEEM to be moving to the bee-box but I really have no direct proof of that affirmation. I know we probably like different styles of music but watch Drowning Pool at Ozzfest.
They aren't like alot of today's metal with all the growling, they're a bluesy, heavy, hard rock type band
with a little growling going on. I saw them at Rock on the Range and they were pretty badass.
Sorry about that Budred, I got my shows crossed. Disturbed are playing Saturday and Drowning Pool are Tuesday...too many D's lol

Seems ur life is on the UP - damn good to hear man - hate to say - i saw Ozzy in '80 at West Runton Pavilion (played mostly Sabbath songs), Then at Port Vale '81 - with Frank Marino, Triumph & Motorhead - UK obviously...was amazing...i still miss Randy....mind u Frank was bloody good, and Triumph amazed me. Just logging in and reporting that all is fine and well in the beautiful city of Berlin. Greatest city ever!! Been to all kinds of places and I'm falling deeply in love with it. You all gotta visit it sometime. You won't regret it.

Morning Guys! Happy Sunday to all. My congrats to MM and ML on their show!! I know that had a blast! Now if they can just handle the addiction...HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Too cool, guys! Well done.
So its back to practice for me. The weekend was great. For any of you that do not know, I will divulge the information now!!.... ; We played a showcase on the Las Vegas Strip!! We did a gig at the MIRAGE Hotel!! The place we played is called the BB King Blues Club. The CEO of that room flew in to see our act as well as a few other dignitaries. We played with another act, a "Rat Pack" group that did some Old School stuff (Sinatra, Martin, etc). It was a dream come true, for sure! Many great musicians there and just a wonderful experience.
The idea was to sell our act on a larger scale. Now, I cannot say for sure what will happen. I do not handle the "business" end of our group. I did not talk to the big wigs so I have NO idea if they even liked us or not. Quite frankly, I never even saw any of them but I am told they were there! I did meet with some musicians and chat awhile. It was really cool. Overall, I cannot complain! It was a GREAT experience. I will let you all know what happens! In the meantime, I left a few pics over in the "Pic of You" Thread! I will be in touch!!

Blah,(lol!) if thats whats most important to you than so be it man but in my opinion "who cares about the $cash? I'd rather be in the hole a grand giving 100 CDs away for free just for the exposure for the band.If you can sell 100 cds than good for you bro,but my philosophy is much different I guess. I'm in the middle of recording our EP(4 songs) wich will have CD cover art work,lyrics and photos and when we are finished we will chuck them out for free,I'll probly spend around 400 bucks give or take to make them but even if we spent a grand we'll still pass them out for free! HAHA! Its all good dude so don't get piped,its not a slag but you've got to do what you've got to do.....
I would love to JD but we have a grand wrapped up in them and need to recoup that cash 1st.....

Oooh the blah is quiet LOL! A busy week nearly at an end here, friday tomorrow yay! I've got a work function to go to, the theme is Viva Las Vegas and my workmates and I are going as the Flinstones from viva rockvegas LOL!!!! I am BamBam, will be finishing my costume tonight. Should be good for a laugh lol.
