I just thought I would comment on "Play That Funky Music". You can't escape that song around here.
The guy who wrote and sang that song is from Steubenville, Ohio. I lived there for twelve years, and live about
10 minutes from it now. I stay out of the bars now but at one time everybar, everynight, some one played that
song, either on the jukebox or live. I think his name is Rob Parise. I believe he lives elsewhere but every once in a while
he would drive thru town in a white Rolls' with the plate "Wyt Boy". He's a millionaire from that one song. He
owns the rights to the song and gets royalty checks still. It's amazing how popular that song actually is.

Good Morning!! What a freakin night!! Went out to see a friend's band play and it was a blast! Tiny little place and all punk rock but it was fun. Always good to see old friends and support the "live scene".

Of course, I am completely spent this morning. I think I slept for four or five hours but that's about it. *yeesh* Feeling pretty run down but, oh well. Going out to FEELGOODS tonight.  Its the club Vince Neil created here in Vegas. There is a benefit show for the Las Vegas Fallen Officers. We're going to head out and show our support for awhile. Not too sure HOW I am going to do THAT but, we'll see! HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

Hello everyone, yay it's the weekend! Just been drumming, not sure which song to learn properly next (got the basics of each song sorted, just a matter of refining things when I get the time lol) - The Hellion/Electric Eye, Bloodstone, Heading out to the Highway or Desert Plains, LOL!

Hmmmm...Bat Out of Hell and Paradise by the Dashboard Lights are not  bad songs and I'm sure they would be well received by bar patrons...  : )

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!! Thanks, Spa. While I wish I were able to say  that I am carrying the torch for Metal and whatnot, I am not. We are not a Metal act. In fact , we do very little in the way of "Metal". Both our Priest songs are commerical in the highest (Breaking the Law and Another Thing Comin) and we play good ol' Paranoid which is more "classic rock" these days than Metal.

I was thinking about that last night. You see, while I do play for the love of music and all the passion that I have for it, I also play to get PAID. I know JD is likely ready to slit my throat now but, we play what the crowd wants to hear (Eve Six, Three Doors Down, Poison). Last night, we learned four new songs and, while I am happy to say that one of them is "Rock you like a Hurricane" (Scorps), the others are "My Sharona", "Good Golly Miss Molly" and....Bad Co's "Rock Steady".

I am really all for the "love of Metal" and all but the cold, hard reality is that playing small bars and clubs requires that we have a wide ranging set list and that we play things that all the crowd will like. For example,  "Play that Funky Music" is one of our most popular! HA!!!!!!!!!!! (Of course, we "rough" it up some!) The reality is, we have to play what they want, not necessarily what WE like.

I have noticed that these "tribute" bands do VERY well here but they actually LOOK like the bands they portray! I mean, seriously ...! I saw a band yesterday called "Heart Live" and I could've sworn it was Heart! The girls looked just like them and they sang spot-on! I was stunned. There are a couple Van Halen acts here that are like that. With me, Priest is not an option. I suppose I look enough like Meatloaf to do that, but I cannot sing like him......HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Freeze have wonderful Metal Social. lol Meanwhile, I'll be wishing for better weather too. Past two weeks have sucked.  Right now I'm pitying all those "memorial day" fools who will jump in a pool on that weekend that has not been suficiently warmed by the sun. Yikes!
[Deep Freeze] Thursday, May 13, 2010 9:03:56 AM
And a FINE morning to you all!!! Appears that we are all quiet on the "front"...? EXCELLENT!  Hanging in there over in my world. Keep expecting hot weather and getting crap!! All cloudy here today. Can we just have SUMMER already?????

Have a busy weekend coming up!! Going to see a friend of mine and his band play their first show this Friday and then we (my band) are all going to Vince Neil's club (Feelgoods) to hang with some friends that have a band playing there. I guess you could consider it the musical equivalent of "social networking"... HAAAAAAAA! Anyhoo, I get to run around town and act like a twenty-something for a couple days. Not too sure how on earth I will accomplish this but I am giving it the old "college try".

Behave yourselves!

Yeah honorary that's what I mean, not a proper knighthood but an honorary one and we know Bono is the king of the pains in the arse, whereas Scott kicks ass, which should equal honorary knighthood.

Hey all!!       Wha's happ'nin'?    What's shakin' & quakin'?    What's movin' & groovin'?    What's new 'n exciting?     Hah?   Hmmm??   o_O   (Yes...you guessed right...I'm too feckin' lazy to be reading through the last 10 or so pages of posts...LOL!!)

Me?   Eh....this kid's got nuthin'....    If you've all seen the Bill Murray movie  "Groundhog Day,"   you pretty much know my story...so...I'm depending on y'all to render some news/info/low-down/skinny/what-the-hell-have-ya  that might make this kid smile/laugh/celebrate with you/what-the-hell-have-ya.......as a caveat though, the following is just a sample of some news I could do very well without:

1) If you've been looking into using butt-plugs-   I mean, okay....do whatever gets yer freak on, go with it and God Bless man, but...keep the updates to yerself, y'dig?

2) If you've found some seriously unidentifiable matter or another in your refrigerators that happened to consume the family cat-   Sorry if such an event occurred, but...may I offer.. empty that sumbitch, douche that fucker out proper and throw a fresh box of  Arm & Hammer baking soda in there to minimize odors and for GOD'S sakes...thin the left-over herd once a week...you'll thank me later.    As for the consumed cat.... **shrugs** ...adopt a new one...get it spayed and neutered like that Bob Barker dude's always been pushin'...

3) If picking off poppy seeds from bagels and counting the amount of 'em PER BAGEL for a cost/comparison analysis has been the height of your excitement as of late.....hooo boy....then you'd need more of a life than THIS kid....dig it....unless of course this is a profession of yours and you're getting righteously paid for it...then fuck yeh...I say count them seeds and be the feckin' best at it!

4) ...and lastly...as examples go... I could care less about politics....may I remind you all that I'm about as politically minded as a cardboard box...I've heard the events of what's going on in AZ...here in NY we got a governor that we like to call  'Blind-Muppet Boy'   who's got this state on its knees so hardcore right now the patella bones are splintering,  and Arnold is STILL governor in CA....which is frightening as fuck-all...quite frankly.

So...beyond the aforementioned...I'm strapped for what else may not really tickle my hypothalamus (look it up)...so....let's make it good people...      Moreover, I hope you've all been happy, healthy, laughing, livin', lovin', touchin', squeezin'  (Oooh, a Journey reference, dig it!), and all that happy horseshit...  **nods**

I bid you all a wonderful day/evening and am lookin' forward to the respective updates.

I've just had the GREATEST idea ever! Halford for Prime Minister!

With Brown out of Number 10, now is the time to act- Rob, your country needs you! We'll cause a diversion outside and you and the guys run in and stage a Breaking the Law style hold-up. I know it will work, we have... roughly half an hour.

Never mind...

Good to hear that you're well, Freeze. Hope everyone else is too.

Well, I'm finally getting some strength back. Oy! Tough last couple days! Looks like all is well. I must say, it is so gratifying to see that all is calm and friendly here when I am away! Well done, all.

Trying to stay calm HERE as well. Saw the doc yesterday for my annual check up. Blood pressure and whatnot is Aces! The regular blood work is later this week but I have no reason to believe there will be anything to report! For some reason, that man is not meant to know, I have been blessed with remarkably good health despite my rather "unhealthy" way of life over the last fifty years or so! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing. If not for my weight, I assume I would be some sort of medical miracle. In any event, all is well and life keeps on keeping on...

My 411 is sad. I've got a stupid wedding to attend at that time, and Flora is not crazy about the "other bands" at Ozzfest. So what I want to know is Halford going to be doing any small arenas or club dates? Now that my Ozzfest has been shot to shit.

I think Clegg with partner up with the Tory's and it will, in the end, be in his best interest. Unfortuanatly, I don't think the Tory government will not be looked upon kindly. They have a lot of cleaning up to do, and that wont be easy on anyone. But, if you cut out all those government jobs that are essentially fake jobs that Labor installed, it would be a great start. LOL And get people off the couch and back to work, the professional non-workers especially. No need for immigration if all of Britain was at work.

Have a nice, two hour trip ahead of us! Ah...the road!  HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I trust you all will have a wonderful Saturday! The Princess and I should be home later tonight as we will not be staying over in  Arizona. I do believe the other guys in the band will be staying to party but I will NEED to get back home! I will try to check in on all of you tonight, provided I have the energy and motivation! Until then....ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man it sounds like things are a bit messy with the election over there Kiamat! We always end up with a shit fight here, cos of the MMP system we use - I think the UK uses the same system. All sorts of stupid coalitions get made, and if it's a very tight coalition, sometimes the majority party gets held to ransom over issues by coalition partners, all sorts of nonsense.
I'm sure we'll have fun at the concert too Craig may or may not be in the country then, but at least he has a ticket just in case LOL!

[kiamat] Saturday, May 08, 2010 1:43:48 AM
Its all down to Nick Clegg now, Spa. Many of his supporters will see it as a betrayal to throw his support behind the Tories, but if he goes for Labour, even a couple of other parties like SNP and Plaid Cymru do the same, Brown still won't have enough of a majority.
Personally, I think David Cameron will get it, and much as it pains me to say this, I hope he does too. I still remember when John Major was in power and Conservatives were the bloated fat-cat baddies out to ruin everyone, pitted against the wonderful New Labour who were going to save the country and usher us into some kind of golden age.
Well, look how that turned out...

Becks, I cannot stress how insanely jealous I am- the past three times Metallica have come to the UK I have either been unable to make the date or unable to get tickets. I hope you and Craig have a really really good time!  Whatever people say about them, you rarely hear bad things about their live shows these days.

Unfortunatly, Gordon Brown just continues to prove what a classless act he is. He will probably pour his feet in concrete in a  10 Downing Street tub so as to make his removal all the more difficult.  I have no words for what a disgrace it is that the fool is still  there.
Reminds me of Dub-ya's first run at office when his brother handed him the election all wrapped up like a gift, in Florida.

[kiamat] Thursday, May 06, 2010 8:50:43 PM

Union chucked us out at 4- we never intended to stay that long but Labour and the Tories were neck and neck the whole way. Sad to say its looking like a hung parliament.

Worse, the voting this year has been a shambles- running out of ballot papers, postal votes being lost, and worst of all so many polling stations didn't have enough staff to cope with the numbers of people, so in a lot of places (including our nearest) people were still queueing to vote at 10 o'clock and were turned away- one of my best friends was right at the front (he'd been there for at least an hour) and they shut the door in his face. In some places they actually carried on letting people in, but legally any votes cast after 10 aren't valid... so, its a mess right now.

Anyhow, Good night (morning?!) all!

Chances are at their age you'll be treated to a good deal of the "old stuff" which will make it worth it.
I'm not British, I have no british  relatives that I know of but when I read the international news I absolutely HATE Gordon Brown and Labor.  I have been facinated with waiting for this election for the past two years because if that were my country, we would have impeached the fool long ago. Ineptitude should get you thrown out of office, but then again we did suffer 8 years of Dub-ya  after having one of the best President's of the modern times. ARRRGH! Thank god, that's over.

Well I'm happy as cos we just bought our tickets to see Metallica in october, they're coming to NZ for (at the moment) one show. I know I know, a lot of people here don't like them, but I am a fan (granted of their older stuff, St Anger is AWFUL, so is Reload, the list goes on) but I have wanted to see them live for ages and now I am so yay! lol.

[Deep Freeze] Thursday, May 06, 2010 12:31:11 PM
My friend, PLEASE never resort to self-deprecation when talking about your music!!!!! I admire and respect ALL that work to learn music, play instruments and be a part of the world of music in general! There is no such thing (to me) as an "uncool" musician! Further, you are young and will only progress and improve as the years go by and THAT is WAAAAAAAY cool!!!!! You have my sincere respect!

We play mostly covers (Rock and Roll!)  As anyone that is in this business will tell you, doing covers is about the only way to get paid. Its nice to play your own music but there is very little demand for it in the real world. We do throw a few originals in and that is very satisfying. I love seeing the crowd's reaction to MY music! It's wonderful! However, we play about 95% covers (including some Priest!) and that keeps us working and getting a paycheck! There's a fine line between trying to stay "true to yourself" by pushing your own songs and actually getting money to play. There's really NO money in recording and selling CDs unless you have a Label that wants to sign you. It simply does not work, period. Once your few family and friends buy a CD, it all goes away and BELIEVE ME, recording is expensive!!!!!!!

We will never get rich but we work regularly and get to play music. We also get to write and play a few of our own songs and that is great. It is a lot of work but it truly is a passion. NEVER stop playing and learning, Kia! It is worth it. Someday you will realize that. It is NEVER too late.

Hey Freeze!
Indeed it has been quiet, but then again, until Priest make any noise regarding new tours or albums, there isn't so much to talk about. Except for your amazing band, of course! Great to hear that you're getting lots of gigs
Oh, I've been meaning to ask- do you do all original material or are there any covers thrown in? If so, what?

Well, I have to go- second rehearsal of today (this one for a choral concert on Saturday). Hopefully a touch more optimistic than my Early Music Ensemble rehearsal this morning, where we received the sad news that our cellist is leaving us to go study in Ireland- she will be much missed .

Now I've put that, I've realised what an uncool musician I am next to you guys. Still, being a music student is all about being a geek- we know it and we don't care!

See you all around. Will be spending the night in the union bar- or at least until we find out who will be in charge of the country tomorrow...

We are laying low this week in anticipation of hitting the road again this weekend!!! Appears as though we will be playng in 90 degree heat in front of about 200 people!! YOW!

I have to say, I really need this quiet time. I am literally spent and it seems as though it takes forever to regain any energy at all!  Damn age!!..(umm...and weight!)  HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well, what are you going to do, huh?? Anyhooooo, looks as though all is well here and THAT is very satisfying! Troll control seems to be working well and all is as it should be! Hopefully they release a new album Hellrider. I reckon whilst they're on a break Glenn and KK should be writing some killer guitar riffs, and while Rob is in the zone touring with Halford he should be writing some kick ass lyrics, bring them together and there ya go, a heavy metal monster from the Priest!!!
I just picked up my brand new Zildjian ZBT 18" crash. So cool. Time to practice more Priest songs!

Good (almost) Afternoon, all!!!! I have returned. I am NOT exaggerating when I say I truly left it ALL on the stage last night. I am completely and utterly spent. Just walked in the door and I am in my chair. I will be back later to chat with you all (likely tomorrow) but I will let you know that we had the most INCREDIBLE show ever! It was everything we could have ever wanted and more. A BEAUTIFUL setting with the River running next to us, bikinis as predicted, a huge crowd and a fantastic show (if I do say so myself). We were complimented over and over by people!

I gave ALL I had and I am seriously as physically drained as I have ever been!! Got back to our hotel room around 2 or 3 this morning and could not sleep. Got out of bed at 9, checked out and came home. I have some GREAT pics but they will have to wait as I am in no mood to even hold this laptop any longer!! Going to go watch some baseball and likely order some Chinese before calling it a day! A VERY EARLY day!

I know I have said this before but I find that I am ONCE AGAIN in awe of the mighty Priest and other acts like them! I have no idea how they do it night after night! I know the adrenaline flows like crazy while we play but the next day is absolutely debilitating. To be their age and play over and over, night after night, week after week is nothing short of remarkable. And to do so with such power and style. Jeeeeeez!!!!!!! There's more than one reason that they are THE Metal Gods!!! Remarkable , indeed.

Bye for now!

Hello, children!!! (please insert "Chef" voice there)

As much as I am sure this will pain a large majority of you, I will be heading out on a bit of a "vacation" today and will not be around for a few.  Those of you that follow my continuous babbling may recall that we are playing down in Laughlin at the Golden Nugget Hotel this weekend. The Princess' family will be there for the annual reunion and we will be playing a show poolside. YOW!!! (Warm weather+sun+pool= BIKINIS!!)

I have no doubt that you all will find plenty of lunacy and mayhem to entertain you over the next couple days. Seems to me we have enough brainiacs and history scholars here to keep you busy with their pearls of wisdom during this time. (Duhhh, jeepers man! Whaddya tink of DIS band... Can I be one of you now?) HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have an enjoyable weekend, all. I know you cannot be with me in person but MOST of you will be there in spirit!!!

Good Morning all. I saw the idiotic thread created by one of our long-time trouble makers (Max) and, since I REFUSE to post in it (as I wish you ALL had refused) I figured I would say my piece here. I have no doubt Max and his brethren will see this right here.

I find it laughable that Max would create this thread under the guise of "supporting" Mr. Evans. That is such a crock that it is literally comical. Max supports trouble and discord, period. He has found a vehicle in which to propagate his stupidity and has grabbed it with both hands. Much like his alter-ego FMH, Max is only looking for a cheap laugh. His insincerity is digusting, although not surprising.

History learns us that many independent thinkers were mocked at first, but turned out to be pioneers later.. Are you freakin KIDDING me?!?!? HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you're a student of history??? Riiiiiiight! History HAS taught us much about the likes of Evans, that is quite true. I believe Adolf Hitler's thinking was that the "Master Race" simply needed a "Final Solution", no? VERY independent thinking there, huh? Oh yes!! Stuck to his guns, didn't he?

Emperor Hirohito was quite the "Free Thinker", too!! REAL history LEARNS (sic) us that he stuck to his guns, too. Murdered those opposed to his "ideas" during the military revolt of '36. Interestingly enough, he was NOT in favor of an alliance with Germany but did so anyway. GREAT free thinking there!  He ended up allied with them and, if I remember correctly, he "stuck to his guns" until a couple huge BOMBS annihilated part of his country and thousands of his people!!! Hmm...a real MAVERICK, that guy!

Ted Bundy had an IQ of over 124. My understanding is that is "superior" intelligence, no?  In fact, he was quoted as saying;

I'm not an animal, and I'm not crazy and I'm not a split personality. That's all there is to it. People refuse to believe that. That's their problem. There's nothing in my background, I swear to God, and I know it: I've analyzed my own background and I know there's no doubt in my mind that there's nothing in my background, no one factor or collection of factors that would explain or would otherwise lead one to believe that I was capable of murderHmm..."Its not ME".."You people don't GET me"...."Its YOUR problem".... Sound familiar, Max??? How about YOU, Mr. Evans???

Before our dear Maxie goes about using "history" as an example of why we should praise another TROLL in our world, perhaps he should take some time to REALLY understand it. Get your friggin CRAYON box out and stick with what you know! Leave intelligent thought to those that actually went to school after third grade.

Come on Freeze, I'm taking that as a putdown and it bothers me. Not in an angry way but
a depressing way. I never claimed this to be a Facist State  nor did I ever intend to imply that.
I even stated that you guys have more experience and knowledge of these situations than I.
I am not trying to break any unity either. I just want to take more time to study the situation
(because) of my inexperience. Depression is becoming a focal point in my life at the moment
and this site helps to alleviate that, even if only temporarily. Please don't depress me here also.
It's my only outlet right now. The depression comment is real.  For the first time since I've been
here I am truly hurt by comments.

[Deep Freeze] Wednesday, April 28, 2010 8:19:11 AM

We need to try to avoid the urge to represent this place as some sort of Facist State. We are as friendly and welcoming as you, Bud. The real issue here is, we have seen this all before..many times. It is fairly easy to pick out a troll. It is a bit harder to see the vile, insidious ways in which they try to infest. We have always banded together as ONE and that has been our greatest strength. We do not have the luxury of a person here that monitors these cancers daily and rids us of them. All we have is one another. When we stand together, we ALWAYS win. It has been this way for years. When one or more of us break from the unity, we are stuck with the disease.

I am of the opinion that each of us has the right to his or her opinion and choice. If you or any other member wants to be a part of its malfeasance, that is your right. You ARE who you roll with. That is how I see it. That is how it always is.

[Budred] Wednesday, April 28, 2010 8:18:24 AM

I'll make this my last post on this subject because the back and forth
gives the appearance of an argument and that is not why I'm here.

Long live the Priest and their fans.

[Budred] Wednesday, April 28, 2010 8:12:04 AM
You guys have been here much longer than I and have much more knowledge than I.
My only goal here is to get along. My inexperience with this person and my desire to get along
may be blinding me to the facts. Both of you make valid points and I totally get where you are
coming from. I will not defend him anymore but because of my nature I will communicate with
him if he chooses. No disrespect to either of you. If I notice a continuing trend to antagonize
instead of trying to get along I will ignore him. It's that simple.

The problem is (once again) that you insist on referring to it as "person" when it is clearly not. Its lame attempts to post "friendly remarks" are a transparent effort to get one (or ANY) particular regular to engage it and , in doing so, make it appear that it is participating. Unfortunately, that ONE member has fallen in with it and THAT saddens me. Had he simply ignored it, it would be on its way out by now.

Bud, I am all for giving ANYONE a "chance" when they actually ask for one. This thing has NOT asked, nor has it shown the slightest bit of contrition. It has never once said, "I'm wrong".  It remains scum and now has managed to secure at least one regular member, thereby excacerbating its infestation of our Board. This is not the first time we have had to simply live with one that would be better off elsewhere. It happens.  Should Murray ever appoint a mod, this vermin and his ilk would be gone in an instant. Until that day, we simply have to accept that, as in life, there are the very lowest forms of filth among us. We as regular members need to simply treat this as we would in life, with our own style of "Meagan's Law". We know it is here and we know we simply must avoid contact with it.  Those that choose to engage it are free to make that choice. Dignity has never been a strong commodity here anyway.
[guidogodoy] Wednesday, April 28, 2010 6:23:42 AM
No need to "ask the opportunity" for forgiveness. It is freely given when deserved. When a bunch of old farts come out of the woodwork to claim that we have seen this person/behavior before, it is true. YOU were never like that "type." Sure, a few missteps here and there but you are a genuine person. Know the history of the site. The respect point system was made to keep out trolls. Many have multiple accounts and it doesn't take a brain surgeon to get around an IP ban.

Nice that you advocate on it's behalf but actually look at the posts. To WHOM it posts. Words used, phrases repeated. Using an old friend's name complete with underscore. By my count, this is about the fourth Maiden thread "discussing" Maiden but the first that doesn't do so. All Maiden is good just doesn't fly, as J.D. said.

No worries, mate. You know that we are a forgiving crew. We aren't the Q after all. LOL!!! Sadly, I don't see it in this case. We are dealing with a troll.

Fair enough. I'm not trying to force him or my views on anyone. I see how forgiving you guys are

the pummeling he took in the beginning and because I know nothing about this person I was merely
suggesting that he be given the opportunity to do so. I know you guys have animosity because of
things he's said and it's completely understood. Guido, I like you. You have helped me here. You have
provided me with help, you have given me insight, and you have a tremendous amount of knowledge
and have shared it with me. I am not trying to anger you. J.D., I actually tried to start an argument with
you. It didn't even faze you and that made me re-examine the way I was responding to people here. It
has made me a little thicker skinned(to match my head) to negative comments so I must say you
have helped me also. The riff between you guys is between you guys. I will stay out of it. I only
want to get along here and sometimes I try to push that on others. It's not my place to do so. I apologize.
I'll communicate with him if he so chooses. You guys are free to do what you want. Take care.

Everybody should NOT post anything in his shitty Iron Maiden thread,he doesn't like Iron Maiden that much thats obvious,if he did he would be arguing Maiden's discography yet he still has no opinion of any albums except him claiming they are all good,if it says Iron Maiden on it then its a go getter! lol! Please, this guy is who we know it is,and from here on out let him vanish in the smoke because when it clears,he will be nowhere to be found.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Tuesday, April 27, 2010 10:04:14 PM)

Maybe this "person" should stay the hell out of MY threads and go back to discussing Maiden by himself in his own. Read to WHOM he is making those posts. Sorry, not impressed.
First post I see in the Travel thread and I am going to laugh even harder.

Are you saying I should leave?(LOL)
I'm kidding of course, I get who you're talking about. Not one person here is going
to agree with this but I'll put it out there anyway. Maybe, just maybe this person
deserves a break.(no, not his neck). Seriously though, when I talk to him in private
messages or when he PM's me back he really doesn't seem that bad. He takes
shots from everyone. I do not know this person, I can only go by what I read here,
but (almost) everything negative that he's done appears to be in defense. The one
thing to me that made him suspect was his failure to discuss anything other than Maiden.
The last couple of days I have read a few posts by him where it appears he is making an
effort to communicate with others. I've been wrong before and I'm sure I'll be wrong again,
but give him a chance. If he proves me wrong I'll apologize and I'll never bring it up again.
Will everyone like him? Probably not, but give him the opportunity to turn it around. If I hadn't
read his last few posts I wouldn't have written this. Take care all!

Long live the Priest and all their fans!

And so another day begins. Odd, am I the only member using the Blah Thread these days? One could certainly make that assumption given that NO ONE posted here yesterday after me! Very strange, indeed.

Another very warm day here in Vegas. Over 90 degrees expected but we have a storm coming that will change all of that dramatically. I really cannot wait for summer. At least we will be consistent!  Anyhoooooo....all quiet here. Planning on enjoying some Dodger baseball at 1 PM. Other than that, I likely will not move from this spot! HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! It is my "day off"..............
[Deep Freeze] Monday, April 26, 2010 11:12:48 AM
Morning All. Happy "Man-Boob" Monday to ye!

Becks, sorry to hear of the great loss. Most here are aware of my deep respect for the military and those that are brave enough to serve. It is a tremendous loss, indeed. Know that my heart goes out to you and your friends. Stand tall. Stay strong.

A VERY difficult day for me. Just got home from the doctor's office. Nothing new, just my usual bi-monthly visit. I am in incredible pain from this busy weekend. Hardly able to walk and drive but I managed. Laying low the rest of the week (until Thursday). We have that big show in Laughlin this Saturday. I am more excited than I have ever been for this one!! Just imagine playing poolside with the Colorado River right next to you!!! Hoping for warm, sunny weather and a LOT of bikinis....NO, not on ME!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The show last Saturday was just awesome. Great crowd and plenty of fun. The Princess took 143 pictures!!! YOW! I put them in the computer but I will spare you all the arduous process of looking at all of them! If you are interested, they are on our MS page. My new shirt was a hit! Good times!

Well, almost 90 degrees here in Vegas today! Sunny, clear skies and I am stuck in the house, on my chair! Ah well....I suppose I will watch a little baseball and enjoy the weather from the window. Have a GREAT day, gang!
[joedraper] Monday, April 26, 2010 6:24:11 AM
Becks, I'm so sorry to hear about the awful losses you've had to deal with over this weekend. I know you were really looking forward to the parade and then to get such bad news like this must be horrible for you and Craig.
My heart goes out to you both and you and the victims are in my prayers.

Until there is no war, that is a sad thing that will take place always. I wish when countries declared war they just sent the old men to fight, who declared war,  and were issued nothing but slingshots and rocks. I assure you that if the assholes who wanted a war had to meet on the battlefiled with just stupid weapons the war would end soon.
They would work their differences out, before being able to get into the rest of the world, and life would be WAR free after a bout of that.

Including a guy who Craig knew, he was in the army in the same trade as Craig before deciding to become a helicopter pilot in the airforce. Craig is pretty gutted, so it's sad sad news to come home to.

I'm glad you guys(ladies) posted that. I gotta find the dates and locations. I got to see Halford twice
and loved them both times. It may not be Priest but it will suffice. I'm glad I live where I do. I am within
an hour of Pittsburgh, Pa., and within two hours of Cleveland and Columbus, Oh.. Almost everyone hits
one of the three. The fartherest I've ever had to travel for a show is 5 1/2 hours to Detroit.  Peace all.

Same here Spa! We are bouncing off the walls with happiness! We missed the other Halford tours and I just never thought I'd get a chance to see them...... Mark said that when the boys ask where we are going this year for vacation we are going to tell them "Wherever Halford is playing, that's where we are going!" Have to make up for lost time you know.

That would be very cool if Flora could go to a show with you, and Guido too!! We'll make it happen, I'm sure we can find a show that works out. I know a lot of people will not be happy about this tour because it means that Priest will not be writing/recording a new album anytime soon. Obviously though, Priest decided this on their own and it would have happened whether Rob toured or not, Rob's just filling the gap by touring. While I'm very sad about that, I'm still really happy to finally get to see HALFORD live! God I love Resurrection and Crucible - both albums kick f'ing ass!!

Thanks Guido!! We lab rats are just happy with food! HAAAAAAAHAHAHA! No, seriously, ask your mom. Food EVERYWHERE . And do NOT get a pint of blood drawn - that just gives us MORE work! It's pretty much to let everyone know what we do and who we are. Then we are forgotten about the entire rest of the year or until another epidemic comes up and the docs don't know what to do.....

I'm so disappointed that I missed Fergie's talk at the Kellogg Center last Friday..... I was too busy being bored out of my mind while someone told me stuff I already know. Lol@ kids running around a lab. Becks, my two do a science class at school and they have to wear protection glasses and white lab coats. It is too cute for words seing all these 3 to 6 year olds in lab gear. They're doing a photo album for the parents so soon as I get the photos I'll post one or two here it really looks very cute. Enjoy ANZAC day and I hope you'll get some great shots of the parade for us. We've got freedom day on 27th so lets see how that goes here. Not sure how many people are feeling festive or hopeful in SA right now but maybe we'll get some encouragement and action from our government who knows.

Have a safe and happy trip see you upon your return xxx
