mmmm steak.  thats what I realy wanted to take out, but, I had no steak in the freezer, so took out chicken breasts.
we should get to high 30's today.  sunny, but the deck is north side of house, so no shovel, no clearing till summer.

Hey everyone,

I'm so lazy today pfffff , it's now 10.49 am and I'm still not dressed.
Just drinking my coffee and reading postings is at the moment the most active part I'm doing , shame on me I know but what the heck it's weekend!
Later today we are having a BBQ if the weather stays nice and that's about it for today !

See u soon

If you have a spare Ipod, throw it in my direction, will you? In those few occasions when I hit the Uni's gym, I have to deal with the songs playing from the speakers around the indoor track. If I had such a device, I can easily imagine myself singing to metal and running at the same time.

Oh, there is pain, believe me. Hit a treadmill for 1.5 hours and it is unavoidable! LOL! Icing down as I type. Ibuprofen just helps with the inevitable inflamation.

The key is the music, I say! People must think I go through spasms as I run throwing air guitar shadows!

Hmmm...very interesting. Sounds like a training regimen that might actually produce results. I prefer to be ibuprofen and beer-free, though. You know what they say...no pain, no gain.

Ok, time to release the guido training regimen.

Long day at work, come home, drink a bunch of beers and eat a mountain of angel hair pasta. No sauce, just parmesian. Take two ibuprofen and head for the gym. Little over an 8 mile run at a 5.8 mile clip with the last mile at a 1.0 incline. Walk half a mile before and after the run. MUST be with iPod jamming metal the entire way or it doesn't work.

Come home and drink a protein drink, two more ibuprofen and more beer to kill the pain.

Whatcha think? I bet I can market this training program! Seems to work! LOL!!!

That was facinating and she does show all the signs of the syndrome.  Poor little girl, wish I could have an uplink from work to home so I could talk to her and watch her. I had already thought I would leave the TV on for noise, and I wish I had a gate, but I don't have one that can fit across that wide of expanse, she could jump any gate anyway. I know she will bet used to it eventually but, I just don't want to come home to mayhem tomorrow. My first cattledog pup was so bad with this that I had to line the bathroom with cardboard and put him in there for the day or he destroyed furniture while I was gone. I have gotten Lucy, her own "Pookie"  stuffed animal so she can carry it around with her if she needs it. The cage is out of the question, due to the wounds on her. So I'm looking to get creative, just have not put my finger on it yet.
Thank you Vail!

One of my dogs hated being alone, I would leave the TV on when I went to work, so she would feel someone was there with her.
[Vaillant 3.0] Sunday, March 15, 2009 1:21:44 PM
When we bought our very first dog (a German Sheperd puppy), my mom would have him isolated in the kitchen while she was at work and I was in school. Puppies will get somewhat destructive when they're left on their own (and they'll get whiny, too). Once we get home we take out the barrier and let the puppy run around and play with us. What my sister did with her first dog is leave the TV on for the day while she's at work. That might also be a method you can use. Either way, Lucy will eventually get used to the temporary loneliness.

Anyone got a good solution for "separation anxiety" for dogs?  My new little angel Lucy, is beside herself if either I or my daughter leave the house for a few minutes. She is not consoled that there is still one person on the house with her. She whines and paces the floors until the other person comes back. I need a plan for tomorrow as it will be her first day alone in the house until around 3:30 when my daughter gets home from school.  I'm just a little concerned how she is going to act all alone for 7 hours. Oh I dunno
Brummie humour is the best. Not to everyone of course, but to me it is. But saying that Birmingham has a large population of Scottish/Irish descendants so it could be that the humour has mingled over time.

For the record so that no one thinks I'm having a go at Scottish humour, I am a Scottish/German/Irish mongrel

There was a swedish fellow who opened a hardware store here some years back and he was very funny.
A rather dry sense of humor, but easy to pick up on. It was very cold that winter and durring a cold snap we
went in there for some bolts. The owner was laughing at the weather report! He was saying "yes, let it get very cold! The people pipes will bust and they will come to me!" LOL

Thats a great one! "Well you cant realy blame the kid, hes got the Lawrence Welk Mania syndrome" that would work!

This may not translate, But I think "Lawerence Welk Mania" would work pretty good. He was a band leader and as the band played a bubble machine cranked out the bubbles.

Yeah, that was a sort of a sport when I was younger, hide a shampoobottle and bring it to the bubblebath at lokal bathhouse. Wonder if theres a term for that, like it pyromania, but with mania of seeing bubbles instead of fire!

This small town spent alot of money to put up a perfect little fountain in the old part of town to try to dress it up a bit and wonder of all wonders, the first time they fill it up with water and turn it on, that night someone dumps a load of detergent in it! The town bubble bath! LOL Guess it will be dye for certain holidays next!

Funny,............Just noticed my daughter has put a post it note on the fridge. A reminder which reads: "Pirates of the Carribean 4 comming out May 5, 2012!"
I wonder if a post it has enough "stick time" to last that long! LOL

go tearing through my senses.
It's for the strong, not for the weak
