" , then the looked at the car and saw me , first they looked like " euh, she's not a metal chick" but then they make a sign to me LOL , apparantly I don't look like I love metal music but it brought a smile on there face ! :D

Good morning everyone! Hope you are all doing wonderfully! My sister in law is coming to visit today, yay for visitor! LOL!
Joe - I've been bad with drumming lately too LOL! It'll be better once my husband goes back to work, I'm more focussed on hanging out with him right now lol. I have a book full of different drum music types (lots of rock, reggae (?), funk, jazz, metal etc) with short solos through out, it's fun!

Good Morning!!! (Well, I think it is anyways lol)
I'm patiently waiting for my cell phone upgrade.. I've decided to go over to the dark side and get a Blackberry. I know, totally yuppie of me but what the hell.. I'm going to do it lol. Just waiting for my service provider to call me and tell me that it's there and then I'm outa here!
I know as soon as I get it I'm going to be fiddling away with it like a new toy. Speaking of toys.. I should get some dinner for tonight and then practice my drumming. I've got a new solo to learn by thursday and I haven't attempted to play it since last thursday! That's very, very bad of me lol.

Ohps... it was Ellie from Belgium. She's started with dancing and singing to "Nightcrawler"!! Then it starts to rain here!!
But she do it again - backwards (!!) 'til the sun's coming back again!!
We've been getting a lot of rain here as well, already had flood warnings...I think a lot of the flood water from last Fall froze before it could go away and then thawed this Spring, plus with all the rain we've gotten so far this year...it's just a big mess...but it's nice to open the doors and lower the screen windows now...ahhhhh, fresh air!!!!!

"Wonder if he said that he'd pay them Tuesday for a hamburger today." mmmmm sounds familiar LOL was it a big hamburger ???
I like the stories I often hear with sleeping pills like Ambien. Had a guy say that he went sleepwalking over to the neighbor's house at 4am asking them to make hamburgers. Ho ho! Too funny. Wonder if he said that he'd pay them Tuesday for a hamburger today.

HA!!! He's a sleep talker, I'm a sleepwalker/talker. I will get up in the middle of the night and go to the bathroom, eat, most anything, and not know it. I have carried on whole phone conversations with people when I have been asleep, of course they wondered why I was a little weird, but never knew I was dead asleep. LOL Talked to a boyfriend years ago for almost an hour and then when my sister asked me about him the next day, I said I don't want to talk about that fool he didn't even have the class to call me last night. Then I found out he did and I still to this day don't know what I said, because he would not tell me. LOL [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Ellieke from Saturday, May 09, 2009 2:36:21 AM)

Right. Well, it certainly has been an "eventful" evening! I know I have had about all I can take! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do believe it is time for a shower and then I will go lay down and watch the Manny-less Dodgers play!
To all: I hope that tomorrow finds us whole and happy. Together again and as a family. That is why we come here and why we stay. Good Evening, my friends.

Morning everyone! Hope all is well for the metal family!
Sounds awesome about your drums Joe! I haven't played as much as I have been since my husband got home, but it's all good, he has been away for so long he has earned some of my precious drumming time to himself LOL! I love thursdays! I had an amazing drumming lesson today and have got a new solo to practice. Things are getting really nice and intricate now lol. Also managed to get my drums tuned properly with the help of my instructor and re-arranged the set up so that it's more practical now. Looks great, sounds great.. what more could I ask for?? Oh yeah that's right, a crash and a splash and a wicked rack! lol Still trying to be a good girl so that Santa will provide for all my drumming requirements this year lol.

The key to putting in contacts is patience...lots of it! Oh, yeah!! And opening your eyes as wide as humanly possible using your fingers to hold down your eyelids (you'll get used to it).
And stop laying your glasses on the floor!! Place them on the night stand or the desk if you're not going to use them!!! (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Tuesday, May 05, 2009 10:59:34 PM)

Hey, update on the contacts. CANNOT get those bastards in my eyes! Left one, especially. Had a follow-up with the doc last week and HE couldn't do it either. I swear, medieval torture. Turns inside out on my finger, stuck to my nose, folded on my eyelid. It is simply impossible. Glad to find that the doc couldn't get them in either. Ordered me up another pair that arrived today but I can't spare the time to see him until next Tues.
Oh yeah, in the meantime, I stepped on my glasses again! Oops!

Nice Dreams? I'll keep that one in mind. Can't rent it out this weekend, though. I'll be in SoCal!! Will be visiting my mom for the Mother's Day weekend. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Wednesday, May 06, 2009 12:14:56 AM)

Here's a solution for your glasses-stomping: place them in the medicine cabinet. If not, then place them on the sink-countertop. When you're out of the tub, feel for them in those locations.

As for the glasses. I think they are trying to commit suicide. There is a good Portuguese expression to describe them now: ganso. Completely bent out of shape. Wearing them as I type and surprised that they are still on my face. Nothing a little duct tape can't fix. HAAAAAA!!!!
I just have to stop running so I can stop soaking my knee in the tub. THAT is where the problems occur. They fog up, I take them off and stomp them when blind getting out. Trying to commit suicide, as I say. I am sure of it.

<----- Vail trying to whistle!
Well, when it chirps, it rarely takes a break. One chirp can last a good ten minutes without stopping. Plus there is a good amount of artificial lightning around my apartment complex, so maybe that's another reason. As per your bird, could be any number of them. With no picture or sound, it would be tough to tell. Whistle its call for me!
Mocking birds this time of year would be a good candidate. The males chirp at night to protect their territory as they can't do it by sight alone. Also, bright lights (moon or artificial) can get many birds going as if it were daybreak.

As of late, there's a bird that's been chirping non-stop outside my window every night. It could be midnight and it would still be chirping away like its the middle of the day. It's a wild bird too, so there's no use in complaining to the landlord about it. You have any idea what sort of bird it might be? Sometimes I think the best seasons are spring and autumn. I love the inbetweenness of it. Not too hot nor too cold. There's something about that hot cup of coffee after some time in the rain that just makes it taste that wee bit better lol (speaking of wich, I reckon round about now is a great time for a cup.)
I"m planing on a nice little veggie and herb garden when spring comes around again. It's a bit late to start planting now but I'm researching on cultivating a propper compost heap and trying to figure out a way to keep little insects away without using pestacides. I cringe at the thought of what these comercial veggie farmers put into our bodies through insecticides and pesticides. Organic is great but I'd love to have my own little veggie garden so I'm going to do a good job of it this year.
GOING OUT IN THE RAIN CAN BE FUN. WE HAS A HARD DRIZZLE HERE IN NEW YORK ALL DAY YESTERDAY. WE PLAYED TWO LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL GAMES THEN I SPENT THE REST OF THE DAY GARDENING. WITH SPRING COMING SOME OF THE VINES ARE GOING WILD. I NEEDED TO CUT THEM BACK ALREADY. A HOT CUP OF COFFEE AND GETTING MY HANDS IN THE DIRT FELT GOOD.
IN ANOTHER MONTH I'LL BE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE COLD. I DON'T LIKE THE 80 - 90 DEGREE DAYS

Not that it's very cold just yet but cool enough to pull out my blankie and start living in my sweat pants in the evenings lol. Cycling is getting a bit tough though because of rain more often now, but wtf.. I'm not scared of getting wet lol.
