Hi all, new to the site, just read the news about the Priest farewell tour and, apart from feeling sad at the news, I am surprised to see only one date for the UK. I hope there's a full UK farewell tour and not just the High Voltage date, and surely either Brum or Wolves should figure in there as it's home turf? C'mon guys, do a last gig in the home of metal and the home of Priest! Make it a gig to remember, something extra special! What do other members think?

I bought my first Judas Priest album in 1980. I was with my buddies and actually was loking for Kansas, when one of my friends said try this one, and held up a black album with a razor blade on it. The rest is history. I was blown away by the sound and the dual guitars, along with vocals of a power I had never heard before. I began buying all the other albums- Sin after Sin, Rocka Rolla, Sad Wings of Destiny etc.... and I was amazed by the skill and talent.
It had been a few years since I had heard of the band, moving on with my career, but suddenly found out about Nostradamus from a check on the web. I quickly bought it and was astounded to hear the level of sophistication in the song writing and just how great the band had become. I was glad to see Halford back where he belongs, at the front of the band, as no one can sing like him. It was great hearing the guitar work of Glenn and KK, but I was also thankful to hear much more prominently, the great work of Ian Hill on bass. I have begun the expensive task of buying CDs to replace my vinyl albums, yes, I still have them.
I saw Priest in Ottawa in 1984 after the release of Defenders of the Faith. It was the most amazing show I ever saw. I sincerely hope that the band is booking for Toronto, as I will be there for the final tour.

Hello Judas Priest fans. My name is Ralph Morman and some of you may remember me as the singer for The Joe Perry Project and Savoy Brown. While I was the singer for Savoy Brown in 1981, we toured as the supporting act for Judas Priest on a major arena tour of the USA. I am trying to get some old photos of those days and I am wondering if any of you longtime Priest fans would happen to have any old pictures, press clippings, or anything from the Judas Priest/Savoy Brown tour. I have been in contact with some of my old band mates, and none of us have any photos of Savoy Brown performing onstage during that particular tour. If any of you would have any pictures you made at any of those shows and you would be willing to share them, we would be very grateful for the chance to see them. Thank you in advance to anyone who takes time to look through his/her photo or memorabilia collection. Best to you all--Ralph Morman.

That's awesome. Only problem is Halford would blow them Sparko-Junko's in one play of SFV !! HAAA [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Sunday, September 26, 2010 8:26:48 PM)

I think that this discussion should now be moved to the "1001 ways to know you are a JP fan" thread.
#903 - You just bought a Honda Odyssey.

That is freakin' AWESOME!!! Mark came running upstairs to tell me about this commercial when he saw it watching football this weekend. I was cooking and missed it, so THANKS VAIL!!! They probably just wanted to make this generic..... put in your favorite band here type thing. You know what it is, those 30 and 40 something Priest fans are starting to get into positions where they say I'm going to put my favorite band in this!! Makes even ME think about getting this! Like someone posted there...I think that JP should have been the band shown on the monitor in that commercial.

It makes me wonder, though...why use The Hellion for selling a mini-van?
And yes...why in the world is Judas Priest not in this commercial?? Oh, wait...I think I know why...
[Becks] Sunday, September 26, 2010 4:25:31 PM
Hell yeah Guido, it so should have been Priest on the monitor! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Sunday, September 26, 2010 4:14:22 PM)
