Now, then, I am going by "The Rage." Please call me by my stage name.
Yup, even in my exhausted state I thought you had Burnin' Up in there. One of the true gems when it picks up a bit towards the finale, IMO. <==don't get me started again. lol.
Evening Star? Bleah. Taken OTW? Anthem...eh. Before the Dawn? I honestly don't normally skip that one. Again, where it sits on the recording and I feel it is rather introspective. Sure. "B-side" but not as bad as the "anthem songs" that I and many others wish they would file away. DTG, as you know, is my personal fav followed by all others you name (not necessarily in that order) of the "A-side." (funny as most kiddies don't even know what the hell a "side" even is!
Like the overdubbing of "Stained Class." Even more, the fools that still call it "Stained GLASS." "Saints in Hell" was never one of my go-to songs but better than "Savage."
Worst? Here I was driving home after a 22+ hour commute (took some 25 when I left Paris to home) and the damn Boneyard kept cycling bad songs from VH, Sabbath (+Ozzy, of course) and Motorhead. THREE Priest tunes: FFS, I am dead tired and they play the throwaway "Living After Midnight." Then it was "Locked In" (better) and the only other was "SCREAMMMMING!" as I was pulling into my own drive at 2am my time (9am Paris time). Had to sit in my car for that one.

Judas Priest have been my #1 FAVORITE band since 1981 before you were born.
With a name like "Turbo Lover" are you going to think you can have a serious "Metal" chat with me? Lol REALLY?
No I do not consider Judas Priest a "Trendy Band"
They are an experimental band at times.
Hell Bent is still classic Priest but those 5 songs off it I listed are terrible to me.

Hey, long time fan here. The new album is pretty good. I would say it's the best thing the band has done since getting back together with Rob Halford. Some very good songs and some that are just kind of there. The first half of the album is the best then it kind of drops off after that. Overall though the best thing they have done in a while. Maybe the next album will be the one they get totally right. |

Well after all,"Jim Floretine off that metal show" and "The Boneyard" said so.
LOL. But TRUE.

Hell Bent For Leather is HALF great and half poor.
Evening Star,Take On The World,Burnin'Up,Before The Dawn,Evil Fantasies are 5 terrible songs!
Thats HALF an album of B-sided material.
Jim F. Of that RETARDED METAL SHOW and the trendy Boneyard shit station says there are no bad tracks on British Steel.....so what? Thats supposed to change my mind? United song sucks and should of been left off.
Lol and how exactly does Rob sing out of his range on Battle Cry? Lol Thats the most ridiculous thing youve posted yet ha.
Redeemer Of Souls album crushes the Hell Bent For Leather album by FAR. IMO and you think otherwise cool. But Rob singing out of his range is absurd and I dont know what your hearing but on my CD its perfect.
The second half of Hell Bent For Leather runs out of steam unless you like Take On The World, Burnin'Up, Before The Dawn and Evil Fantasies....
Down In Flames,Hell And Back,Cold Blooded,Crossfire,Secrets Of The Dead and the awsome Battle Cry are 6 supurb Judas Priest tracks that blow away Evening Star,Take On The World,Burnin Up,Before The Dawn and Evil Fantasies out the window by FAR.

Yes, 1/2 of an album is better than nothing. I like Down in Flames but after that it runs out of steam. Rob Halford sings out of his range on the chorus of Battle Cry so that ruins it for me. but its not just about each song, its how they work together.

Ok, while past 2am here you know I have to post the last of the eve as YOU, my friend, are a true fan and you know I love it. Not some simple sheep following blindly. Rock on, bro.
United - with you on that one. Always skip it.
Take these chains (I like it...notice I didn't play it when I mentioned that I needed a Priest fix though); Fever? Eh, like it but agree. Kind of a throw away tune, IMO.
I defend Defenders to the death and you know it! I LOVE Night Comes Down as I find it to be introspective as I have posted in the past. Almost Rob's thoughts about his career at the time. Love both the melody and the lyrics. I could say the same for Touch of Evil. Same theme, IMO <== notice the repeat. As you said, IMO!!! Eat Me Alive? Yup, love it too. Got a real punch to it. Any dumbass want to bring up the homo crap can just eat ME alive. Could care less about that topic. I just like the song, plain and simple.
Dead against both your calls for Painkiller. Love both songs you didn't. Hell Patrol's build to "RIPPING OUT HEAAAAARTS!" is just awesome. One Shot? I like it. Especially where it sits on the recording. MY fav album? No. I am not Hellrider (where did he go anyway? Get knocked off his bike or something? Blow himself up trying to make it spit flames or just jaded that there was no 3 guitar JP a la Maiden?).
Finally, you know I love the latest album. Instant classic Priest. Nah, not a big fan of either song you mentioned and I'd throw March OTD in there as well. Not "bad" per se but just too much like what Rob said in that it was more a spin off The Walking Dead (aka....Metal Gods!!), again IMO!!!
Right on, compadre. Keep on "Defending" our right to use our own judgement! LOL!!! Damn...now gonna have to play something off of Sad Wings before sleeping! TRUE classic Priest ..... wait for it....IMO!!!
