Hi I'm a new member here. I've seen Judas Priest 7 times in Spain since 1980 (San Sebastián 4 times, Bilbao, Vitoria and Badalona) and I felt a very strong emotion when this morning I bought the tickets (for myself and for my son) for the concert in Bilbao on 31 July... very much looking forward to that exciting moment... sad because it'll be the last time, but so happy because the Priest have made us all enjoy their music so much during all these years. So many thanx to Glenn, Ian, KK, Rob and Scott. You've been and still are so important in our lives...

Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Manos. Deargdoom for you (from the classic Horslips song, hope you know that?). I'm from Greece and I've been listening to Priest like crazy for the past 10 years. I know, that doesn't sound much. But Priest do mean so much for me. I can't begin to describe that.
Like a tiger in the cage
We begin to shake with rage
Cheers, guys.

[GLORIAROMANA S.-THE QUEEN OF METAL GOD-ROB HALFORD] Tuesday, February 08, 2011 3:15:40 AM
FOR YOU
ROB HALFORD
ABOUT JUDAS PRIEST SHOW IN ROMANIA AGAIN
First, since the morning of 5 February, when I opened my email, and I read in a email from our Romanian Metalhead rock site that the Judas Priest will come in Romania, at Bucharest on 3 July, and when i saw that news at our romanian Tv Chanel, and finally when I checked the Judas Priest site and I saw that the news are officialy, I passed over lots feelings. First, I was shocked to see how a miracle can happen again, then knowing that exist another one posibility for me to see you live again, I became very happy, but finally knowing how stare my financial situation at this moment, and thinking that I will cannot attend at your show, I became sad, and now in this moment and probbably untill to the show, I will be very stressed into try to change my situation to do all is in my power to not miss your show, cause is your last tour, so my last chance to see you live.
Second, from now,6 February I must to start to work at my plans, and its seem the history is repeated like 2 years ago, when I needed to do the sam plans for them show, but its seems now
i need to work more at my plans than last time. Last time I was again in a search of a job, which I found finally but I must to throught that out when cames the show time, now am I again without a job, so I must to start to look for one and fast, but with this crisis from world, and special in my poor country, my small town, the most many people still are through out from their jobs, so I don’t know what chances I have to get one, but I will try, and even if I will arrive to get one, should be a better to be a good paid one , otherwise, I don’t know if I will be able to save all these money when I need to take care of my family too, to help my parents too, which they need me, my father who lost his job too, and my mother who need their monthly medications, and also to hadle with all our rents in bank, and also with all daily utilities, but I hope, the sum which I calculated that I will need for all these are about 200- 250 euros, maybe few, maybe more, I don’t know exactly, will depend on many, then last time I got the lucky to receive a free ticket from my cousin from Bucharest, which worked at Radio 21 station there , a radio which was media partner for the band show, but now my cousin now work there anymore, so I will need to buy the ticket, then last time I was with the car of my best friend here from the company where he work, now I will go with the same friend, due to the fact that I cannot pay for a car untill there, and I can’ t go with the airplane, even if is too much easy and fast, is too much expensive, and I can’t go with the train also, cause is not such comfortably to travel such many hours to the third class, and to travel at first class, is too much expensive, even if I love the trains, and finally last time when I arrived in Bucharest, I got the luck to stay at my cousin appartment, but now he not live in Bucharest anymore, and now probably I wil need to rent a room hotel there, cause I don’t have anyobody in Bucharest anymore, just some net friends, which I met on internet, never in face, mans which are able to bring me in their homes, but which want other things from me….you know, and God knows that I can’t do that,I just can’t spend a night with a man just for a room, when tomorrow I will need to go to see you the love of my life which you came to sing for us ,romanians ,so now way, better alone in a hotel room. The conclusion is not that I want to complain of some here, cause I know out there exist more many people in more many bad situations than mines, which wish to arrive at the show, and they just can’t, but I write here just because I hope that someone will read these, and will give me a job, or if not, because I hope at least that some of my net friends, which I helped them once, to see that, and if they really understand my love for that band, to return me the help, into trying to help me to arrive at the show, and finally because I hope that in the case in which I will cannot also attend at their show, my net friends which will can do that, will think at me too and will send me some souvenirs from the show, or a poster, or a copy from a ticket, or a autograph if they will get one ,specialy from you Rob Halford.
Third, in the 3 July, if I will also arrive at your show, even if I will do not know how you will come, to go to meet you at the airport, etc, even if I will not know where you will sit,to go to meet you at a hotel ,etc, even if I will cannot enter to the press conference to see you close, and even if I will cannot do a photo with you Rob, or even if I will cannot get an autograph from you Rob, even if I will never see your eyes so close Rob ,and I will never hear his voice Rob, I will,at least I know you will know that i will be there somewhere like last time, and when you will say “I love You Romania”,I know what you will think that I will say in my mind, so I will be glad to see you on stage at least and I hope you will sing my first three favorite songs from all your discoghraphy, Blood Red Sky, Fire Burns Below and Living Bad Dreams, which I would like to hear you Rob to say that is dedicate to me, but also I would like you to sing some of these songs too, which I wrote in the order of the discography, such as from
:
-Rocka Rolla: the ballads Run of the Mill or Dying to Meet You, and the heaviest Rocka Rolla ,or One for the Road, or Cheater, then from
-Sad Wings of Destiny, the balads Dreamer Deceiver or Victim of Changes, and the haviest Island of Domination or Tyrant, then from
-Sin After Sin, the ballads Here Comes The Tears or Last Rose of Summer, and the heaviest Race with the Devil or Starbreaker, then from
-Stained Class, the heaviest White Heat Red Hot, or Invader , then from
-Hell Bent for Leather the ballads Before the Down and the heaviest Fight for Your Life, or Running Wild, or Rock Forever, then from
-British Steel ,Breaking the Law( was the first song which I loved from they when I discovered them music), Steeler, or The Rage, then from
-Point of Entry, the heaviest Don’t Go , or Hot Rockin, or Thunder Road, or Turning Circles, or Troubleshooter, then from
-Screaming for Vengeance, the ballads Prisoners of your Eyes and the heaviest, Take This Chance ,or Devils Child ,or Riding on the Wind, then from
-Defenders of the Faith, the ballads When the Night Comes Down, or Turn on Your Light, and the heaviest Rock Hard Ride Free, or Love Bites, or Eat me Alive, or The Sentinel, then from
-Turbo, the heaviest Reckless, or Turbo, or Locked In, or Out in the Cold , then from
-Ram it Down the ballads Monster of Rock and the heaviest Ram it Down ,or Heavy Metal, or Love Zone, or Hard as Iron, or Come and get It , then from
-Painkiller the One Shot at Glory, or Painkiller, or Night Crawler, or Between the Hammer and the Anvil, then from
-Angel of Retribution the ballads Angel, or Lockness, and the heaviest Wheels of Fire, or Worth Fighting For, or Deal with the Devil, or Hellrider, and finally from
-Nostradamus the ballads Future of Mankind, or Alone, or Exiled, or Lost Love, and the heaviest Pestilence and Plague, or Visions, or Revelation, or Nostradamus.
And necessarly the song Diamond and Rust(the acoustic version).
Finally, I am still shocked that the same miracle is happen again in my life, and even if since now and probably untill then I will be stressed, also if all will be ok, then finally I will be happy, so from now I will fight for this and I will pray for this so I will wait you like always, my soulmate and don’t forget that…
I LOVE YOU AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!

I'm 51 years old and have been a fan since the very first American tour. Priest came to Tucson, Az with Def Leppard opening. I spent 2 nights at the ticket booth and bought the whole center first row for me and friends.
I am totally stiked about the upcoming tour. I hope you guys come to Arizona again so I can partake in the final tour. If your here I'll be there.
Love you guys, I even have all three copies of Sad Wings of Destiny because each one had something different. One with a different cover and another that introduced "Epitaph".
Looking forward to seeing you guys again.

Hi all, new to the site, just read the news about the Priest farewell tour and, apart from feeling sad at the news, I am surprised to see only one date for the UK. I hope there's a full UK farewell tour and not just the High Voltage date, and surely either Brum or Wolves should figure in there as it's home turf? C'mon guys, do a last gig in the home of metal and the home of Priest! Make it a gig to remember, something extra special! What do other members think?
[henderjo] Tuesday, December 07, 2010 8:13:34 AM
I bought my first Judas Priest album in 1980. I was with my buddies and actually was loking for Kansas, when one of my friends said try this one, and held up a black album with a razor blade on it. The rest is history. I was blown away by the sound and the dual guitars, along with vocals of a power I had never heard before. I began buying all the other albums- Sin after Sin, Rocka Rolla, Sad Wings of Destiny etc.... and I was amazed by the skill and talent.
It had been a few years since I had heard of the band, moving on with my career, but suddenly found out about Nostradamus from a check on the web. I quickly bought it and was astounded to hear the level of sophistication in the song writing and just how great the band had become. I was glad to see Halford back where he belongs, at the front of the band, as no one can sing like him. It was great hearing the guitar work of Glenn and KK, but I was also thankful to hear much more prominently, the great work of Ian Hill on bass. I have begun the expensive task of buying CDs to replace my vinyl albums, yes, I still have them.
I saw Priest in Ottawa in 1984 after the release of Defenders of the Faith. It was the most amazing show I ever saw. I sincerely hope that the band is booking for Toronto, as I will be there for the final tour.

Hello Judas Priest fans. My name is Ralph Morman and some of you may remember me as the singer for The Joe Perry Project and Savoy Brown. While I was the singer for Savoy Brown in 1981, we toured as the supporting act for Judas Priest on a major arena tour of the USA. I am trying to get some old photos of those days and I am wondering if any of you longtime Priest fans would happen to have any old pictures, press clippings, or anything from the Judas Priest/Savoy Brown tour. I have been in contact with some of my old band mates, and none of us have any photos of Savoy Brown performing onstage during that particular tour. If any of you would have any pictures you made at any of those shows and you would be willing to share them, we would be very grateful for the chance to see them. Thank you in advance to anyone who takes time to look through his/her photo or memorabilia collection. Best to you all--Ralph Morman.

Hello. My name is Michael Nostradamus Mahtoluta. I am from the Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe, and I am also French. I live in the woods of New Hampshire. I have a very large family, and we are trying to prepare for the great changes that are about to take place. I want to express how much I needed and enjoyed the Album, Nostradamus. It has greatly helped me. I have had Visions for a very long time. Since I was a small boy. For a very long time, I thought I was crazy. Others I am sure, thought so as well, although they will not admit it to me. Until, my Visions started coming true. They were not so many in the beginning, but have now consumed a very large portion of my, and some of my days. My family is very understanding, but I can not say that the rest of society is. You helped me. And for this, I must thank you. I only just heard the album for the first time, like a week ago, and I can not stop playing it. I must say alsom that, until I heard it, I was never much of a fan. I know that is not what you wish to hear, and it will points, but I want to remain very honest. After hearing the Nostradamus album, I am convinced that you are absolute geniuses. And the way in which you were able to get inside Nostradamus's head and hav an idea of what he was feeling. Because, I very much relate to him. And I feel like I have a pretty good grasp of what he went thru. I want to thank you all very much again, and I hope that someday I will be able to sit down with you and discuss how you researched so much about him, and what spurned you on to this album. I am now a fan for sure. I wish that I could say I was one of your dire fans all of these years, but, I surely am now. Talk to you soon.
Michael Nostradamus Mahtoluta

I fell in love with Judas Priest in the very early 80's and will always be a huge fan! Both Glenn and KK definitely compliment one another on guitar and know how to work together that is what makes them both great. There is definitely only one Rob Halford and no one else can do it better! Ian holds Glenn and KK together. Please don't ever stop playing.
You are the very first Heavy Metal band that I fell in love with. ( along with Lita Ford). Thank you for what you do. But most of all thank you for all of the orgasmic music.

Hi everybody, I'm a new member from Italy, but the first time I had the honour to listen Judas Priest was in 1981. I was buying some metal records, I was 15 and I saw a fantastic cover, an hand and a razor. It looked so heavy. At home I put the record on the stereo and Rapid Fire started. Well, now, after 29 years I'm still here waiting for a new priest concert wherever in Europe. Is it true that they will repeat the British steel anniversary in Europe during 2010 ?
We are defenders of the faith

It's crazy seeing how many young people appreciate and respect the Priest. It brings comfort to the mind.
I only wish that the younger fans could have experienced the Priest in their prime. They still rock live but back in the day
Priest destroyed (all), live. At least their albums will always be there. Peace all!

Hi everyone! I'm an 18-year old Priest fan. What I especially love about Priest is the diversity they've shown throughout the years. The only albums I don't really like are Turbo and Ram It Down. My favourite albums are Sad Wings, Unleashed In The East and Painkiller.

I'm a 20-year old hard core Priest fan, I saw them for the first time during their 30th Anniversary British Steel tour.
However, I was greatly disappointed that the song Prophecy from the British Steel 30th Anniversary edition can only be downloaded at "album only" price of $19.99 via Amazon or iTunes. I understand that the song can't be included on the cd due to time constraint and the fact that it was already on A Touch of Evil Live (which I also bought).
What about those of us who bought the deluxe 3 discs edition? Do we have to pay $20 just to get one more song?
I'm a broke college student and I can just illegally download this entire thing next week you know? $35 is not cheap. But I chose to Pre-Order the album last month and patiently waiting for it to arrive at my door. I went to the concert and it was one of the most amazing gig I've ever seen.
I don't blame the band but I'm disgusted by all these business deals.
I feel rip off, I feel cheated. But I still love Judas Priest.
Fuck business people.

Hiya. Very new to the forum.
I met JP in '79 when they were the opening act on the US leg of the KISS Dynasty tour. I was Paul Stanley's guitar tech at the time. Years later I was on the JP crew looking after guitars for Glenn and Ian on the Screaming for Vengeance tour. They're great guys... down to earth and funny as hell. I look forward to running into them again one of these days.

hello everyone right her i'm reading the instruction...I love judas they're the first band that I hear when I knew the rock Æ
Hello all other Metal Maniacs!!! My name is Chrissy, just registered here, and I'm making my introductions to start me off here. Judas Priest is on of my biggest influences when it comes down to my music, especially Rob with his very powerful vocal abilities. Their song writing has always been, in my opinion, top notch and their playing ability is absolute. I've always love listening to them (heck, I grew up listening to them every since I was laying in my crib as a baby.) I was thrilled to hear that they had won a GRAMMY award! Kudos and cheers to you guys! :) Anyways, don't really know what else to say right now so I'll just leave you with this, hope everyone will stay true blue to yourselves, and everyone is healthy and happy :) hope to meet everyone in the near future.
Cheers -- Chrissy

In geographical terms, a "knob" is defined as a prominant mountain or hill.
In my use, look in the mirror, ya knob! Word defined! BWWAHAAAAAA!
-----------------
It was originally known as the Pine Knob Music Theatre, due to its proximity to the nearby Pine Knob ski area and golf course. The name was changed in 2002 when DTE Energy (the parent company of Detroit Edison) purchased the naming rights to the amphitheater in a ten-year, $10 million deal. Despite this change, many people still continue to call the venue "Pine Knob", "The Knob", or "The Hill".
Annually, the music theater has consistently ranked among the top-selling outdoor concert venues in the nation. Canadian Power-Trio Rush have regarded the ampitheater as one of their favorite venues to play in the U.S.A.

Perhaps, when guido shows up, he can give us a more definitive description of a "knob"?? I mean, I was at the DTE in Detroit and I did not see anything that closely resembled a "handle" of any kind....... BWAAAAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
