Greetings from Alexandria, VA
I am a 42 year old computer security specialist. Just retired from the USAF after 20+ years.
I ahve been a Priest fan since 1981 when spent the night at my best friend's house and discovered "British Steel" while digging through his cassettes. I listened to it constantly for the next week. I had never heard anything like it. I was able to see them on the "Turbo: Fuel for Life" tour in Dallas in 1986. Awesome part was, they recorded that show for the "Priest...Live!" album & video. I was also supposed to see them in the late 90's in Shreveport with Ripper, but it was an outdoor show and they had to cancel due to rain. (So the news item about the recent shows in Belgrade & Zagreb being the first they've ever had to cancel are not accurate!)
To me Rob has always been THE voice of Priest and, truly, the quintessential voice of metal. While Tim is talented and can mimic Rob's style, he's not Rob and Priest was never the same with him. It was a great day when Rob and Priest reunited. Can't wait till they come to the DC area in a month or two.
Rock hard, ride free!

In Puerto Banus I used to drink with Glen at the 60's bar whilst the band played .This was back in the 80's when Dozy Beaky Mick & Tich owned the bar. I lived with the drummer & lead singer Mick. I was wondering if he remembers anything about that time & how we used to keep the club finacial at the bar. Not sure how this site works or if the band reply to messages but thought I would give it a go being as I have just seen that they are coming to Australia where I now live. Cheers, Shirley |

Hello from Montreal!!!
It is a pleasure to join you on this board. I've been a Priest fan since 2000. I've been loving them since then. At that time Ripper was still the frontman, but I was following Rob Halford's solo career. That is how I got into Priest.
I just bought the new record Nostradamus and I can't stop listening to it. It is different than previous Priest records but it is awesome musically speaking.
I am sure I will enjoy my stay here and I can't wait to speak to you...
Cheers!!! The Priest is back!!! Edited at: Sunday, June 29, 2008 10:10:10 PM |

Hello to all! I have been a Priest fan since i was six years old. The first song that stuck in my head was "Screaming for Vengeance". Since then the Priest has been my all time favorite band. Since I am a musician, they inspire me to make metal. When i first heard Scott Travis on the "Painkiller" album, his drumming blew me away. I think his strongest work is on the "Jugulator" album. Since I am a drummer Scott is my main influence. "Nostradamus" is a fantastic album. I was excited to finally listen to it when it was released. Well all you Priest fans, I will talk to you all soon. ROCK ON. THE PRIEST IS BACK!!!!!!! |

I've been a huge fan of the Priest since the late 1970s when I was about eight years old, when my big brother brought home "Unleashed in the East." The album blew me away in every way! Those incredible guitars and vocals!!
Now I'm 37, and love the Priest more than ever! My friends call me "a Priest man!"
It didn't occur to me to register on their website til now (duh!) but with the release of the mighty "Nostradamus," I think the time has come to talk Priest with like-minded folk!
Favourite album? Well, at the moment, it's "Nostradamus"! But otherwise I'd say my top three is "Screaming for Vengeance", "Sad Wings of Destiny" and the aforementioned "Unleashed in the East" .
Cheers! Bye for now!

This is my first post, I had to sign-up and post my two cents on Nostradamus. Priest is my favorite band by far and I couldn't be more disappointed with Nostradamus. Judas Priest is a heavy metal band and I don't want a broadway album from them. Painkiller is my favorite album, however, I don't need painkiller 2, although that is my dream. Just make a heavy metal record that jams, what heavy metal/priest fan wants a broadway album? It's obvious they can still produce great songs because the song nostradamus and prophecy are quite good. We the fans deserve better and I feel cheated with this record.
As for the tour, who wants to hear Angel and Death? How do you add the two weaker songs from Painkiller? I'm glad they changed up the setlist, however, some of the selections are mind-boggling. Nothing from Turbo, Ram it Down? How about Reckless, Wild Nights, Jawbreaker, Hard as Iron, Screaming for Vengeanance, Hot Rockin etc.?
I had to get this off my chest.
