Tickets for Jones Beach are being sold by Live Nation and certain Blockbuster Stores. The tickets are not on sale yet. Beware of ticket brokers  (ie: Ticket Network Direct) that are selling tickets for way above face value.

Hey Guys!

Yes, another newbie to the site, but not to the Priest! Loved these guys since I was about 10, and will love them to the day I die! I'm a grad student in Alabama, and there are days that I would go insane without Metal. Sometimes you just gotta rock!
[danilea] Wednesday, April 01, 2009 5:43:14 PM
Hi! I just was wondering when Judas Priest is coming to Portland, Oregon!?!?!?! I heard a rumor that they might come here with Whitesnake!! I'LL BE THERE!  but ARE THEY COMING?????????????????????

Hey Eric,
I'm glad I was able to help. My kids and I are really looking forward to this too. I'm hoping the band gets wind of these websites and posts a warning. Hey don't worry about mentioning non-metal bands, I like a lot of different types of music too, it's just that the Priest happens to be my favorite, all the way back to Rocka Rolla.
Good Luck,

Hey "Wheels",

Thanx, dude. I fig'd something was fucked up about that "company", esp. since they only had between 2-4tix per supposed seat/row/section. Anyway, shame on the venue for even promoting that co. that extorts $ from fans of whatever band they are selling tix for! The bands shoukd sue the venue fopr condokning it & the co. for ripping people off! Not even TicketBastard rips people off THAT badly! DAMN!

I saw this same co. about a year ago selling tix like that for outrageous prices for; well, I won't say for I'll prob'ly take shit for it, since they are totally not Metal, but rather I consider them Rock. But anyway... & then I checked elsewhere; I believe Live Nation, or Ticket Bastard; & they were selling them for normal prices!

I am just wondering when these tix sales dates will be announced!? I hate it when they announce it like 2 days before-hand! Hard to get the $ that quick most times! & I also hope these tix aren't like $60 or more, but reasonably priced! $30-high $40's that is.

Anyway, thanx for your research & post, dude.

Later!

Glenn, I hope your health is well. We are all hoping the specialist doesn't find anything major. I haven't seen you guys in like 20 years, and my kids and I are dying to see you all at Jones Beach this summer rockin' the stage.
[priestrocker2] Monday, March 30, 2009 10:12:06 AM
Does anyone know if if they are going to announce any more dates for the summer?  I didn't see anything saying that there would be more dates coming soon. This is not like Priest to miss Texas. Thanks for the help.

Hello everybody,

New to this forum I thank God ever gave me the chance to rock n' roll... Judas priest fan since the Acuña family mentioned the band near 80's begining, I finally purchased "Defenders Of The Faith" and a couple more CD's; after this I lately grabed almost the whole collection throug out. He, he, he, he...

Beg for mercy soft belly stinking ones not ruled by The Metallian, from here to eternity.

This is my humble commitment.

I've been a fan of JP since 1981. I bought the 'Sad Wings of Destiny' album on a whim downtown Minneapolis at Northern Lights music just because I thought the Cover art was cool, and haven't looked back. Dreamer Deceiver question: The lyrics sound like so many DMT trips I've read about and am wondering if this drug/experience had anything to do with it.

I Love you guys, have been listening to you since the 80's, and I still listen to you on probably a daily basis,  was sure sad to see that there were no tour dates in the south.  Come on, Texas is a big state...

WARNING--WARNING--WARNING
I've been doing, and continue to do research for tickets for the July 12 show in NY at Jones Beach Theater that are for sale now through Ticket Network Direct. They are a ticket broker and told me they have special connections with the venue, which is why they have tickets now even though they are not available for pre-sell on Live Nation yet. The Def Leopard tix (as an example) are nearly double their face value with very high shipping and other fees. I've been in contact with the Better Business Bureau and to date they have 132 complaints against them within the last 3 years, over 60 in the last 1 year. My advice would be, do not buy your tickets from them, wait for Live Nation and pay face value instead of getting ripped off.

Thank you for the warm welcomes all I have a feeling this will become a favorite site very quickly!
[wheels50] Tuesday, March 24, 2009 5:49:16 PM
EJC_74,
To try and answer this, the tix are NOT ON SALE YET, I've been trying to find out the story with that website, Ticket Network Direct, but so far I haven't had any luck. I don't see how they can have any tix for sale especially in specific rows. I'm thinking it might be some kind of scam or something. Ticketmaster and Live Nation do not have them for sale yet which is what I'm waiting for also. Good luck to you and be careful where you get your tix from.
From, Wheels (a new member)
PS I'm also looking to see them at Jones Beach along with my 2 kids (17 & 18) and a good friend from Florida.

Hello everyone   My name is Rob and I am 44.  I am from Colorado Springs, Colorado USA.   I've been listening to Judas Priest since the late 70's and have seen them live a few times.  The 1st time I saw them was in June of 1984 on their Defenders of the Faith tour, in Detroit MI.  My friends and I won tickets and backstage passes from radio station WLLZ.  Meeting Judas Priest was so awesome!  All the guys were really nice and took the time to answer questions and sign autographs.  I have seen them a few times since then and plan to see them again in July when they play in Missouri this summer.

Hello from Amsterdam,

I just want to say thanks to the band for all these years playing the best music in the world. I've been supporting these guys since 1975 and last show in Madrid was simply GREAT and AMAZING!!! Thanks again for their power on stage.
[EJC_74] Sunday, March 22, 2009 10:54:54 PM

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why the sale dates for this newly announced US tour have yet to be announced? & when they might be? I'd like to get tix before they sell out! I searched online just a few days ago, & the site for the Jones Beach show showed no tix on sale as of yet, & now it does, & very few tix left. I don't understand how THAT happened!! One day no tix are on sale & not even a date as to when they will be listed, & the next there are no more than 4 per section/row.... WTF?!

Also, it lists some ridculously high prices, between $135-$500-something!? :o WTF?!?!?!?!?!?! That can't be correct!?

Does anyone know the real deal, since this site has had no news about tix sale dates for unknown reasons as of yet. & why Live Nation doesn't even list ANY tour dates at ALL for Priest, & yet this site that claims to be the official site for Jones Beach says they are on sale & have very few left & is asking for extortionistic prices for the tix! WTF!?!?!?!?!

This is very contradictory esp. when Jone Beach says their tix are sold through Live Nation.

& if these tix sales are valid, then why doesn't Live Nation's site even list Priest as going on tour, w/listed dates that are listed on this site?! & why would they be almost sold out when there was never any official date mentioned publicly about any sale dates for said tix?

& furthermore, if these prices are valid, WTF???? Why are these bands so damn greedy? I expect these types of prices from KI$$, RU$H, Aero$mith, VH, etc.,...BUT, PRIEST!? Do they think their fans are all relatives of Bill Gate$? Esp. in this economy! Shit, I'd never pay that much just to see ONE band, irregardless of the economy, but that's beside the point! The tix for the Metal masters tour which I missed due to lack of $$ last Summer were only $50 a PIECE, & that was to see like 5 bands, not just ONE!

Anyway, if anyone here can help me out w/this, it'd be much appreciated. Thanx!

They are great in concert aren't they? I saw them many times here in New York in the past, they were great then and I've seen video of them now and they're still rockin'. You need to get some of their older albums, I have them all back to Rocka Rolla. Enjoy Nostradamus, it's a MASTERPIECE!!
[Nickster] Sunday, March 22, 2009 8:30:34 AM

Went to see the priest with some freinds last month in Shefield, the gig was fantastic, the best iv seen in a long time. Each member was superb, creating an awesome sound, Mesenger of Death made the hairs stand on my neck. Iv not heard any of their music before but have now got the new Nostradamus album which has not been out of my CD player since, theres a different track for what ever mood your in. I felt i had to post a message on here because i was so impressd, just wish i had heard their stuff years ago.Well done chaps.

[wheels50] Saturday, March 21, 2009 6:51:55 PM
The Priest back in the U.S.A., can't wait. Hopefully all the ticket sellers will sell fair and not at inflated prices or sell certain tickets to other web sites at double the price. I feel that borders scalping which is ILLEGAL! Do you hear that? Hopin' to see them in NY with my friend from Fl and my 2 kids. I'm already seeing tix for sale on Ticket Network Direct for a minimum of 135.00 all the way up to 705.00 and the tix are not even on sale yet, who is giving them these specific ones?

Hey Folks,

Just joined the forum so I'm just saying hello.

Priest were awesome in Sheffield on Friday night.  Especially enjoyed Prophecy, Law & Rock Hard, Ride Free.

Believe it or not after 20 years of metalling it was my first Priest gig.  I don't know where I have been, before you ask, but I'm here now.  I have owned a few Priest albums over the years and thought it was about time I saw them live.

Also bought a cracking Sad Wings of Destiny t-shirt from the gig.

Keep on keeping on

Donnie

I've been listening to JP since Rocka Rolla.  I was a huge fan up until Hell Bent For Leather, when I kind of out grew the band.
I recently downloaded the discography for my IPOD when I discovered the Demolition CD. It blew my fucking socks off.
I am now a born again JP fan.

Keep rockin' and hopefully with a bit of luck I'll get 2 c u at the CIA in snowy little Wales next month!

Those same speakers are the ones in the background when ya watch "That 70's show". I hauled the Marantz 2270 to both of the local high end electronics/audio shops around here, dropped it on their counter, & said "I want two speakers for this that you can guarante this thing wont blow". They all smiled, shook their heads, & started making offers for the reciever/amp. I was a little surprised what they were willing to give for it.

HAAAA!! I think I had those same speakers! I'll have to dig around for some old photos.
I'll say one thing, they made those suckers like TANKS! Surprised I still have a spine having moved them so many times in my life. Too bad I sold them when I finally moved states. I would have donated them to you. Of course, the shipping would have been into the thousands....

Bio of a priest fan.Hail! It all started one day in the early 80's. A friend of mine called me up and told me to get my but down to his house ASAP. As I walked up to his house I noticed the unusual amount of cars ligned up on both sides of the street with this pure sonic mana blasting out from the typical house in a typical American neighborhood. I walked into the door & lo N behold I was met at the door by an older friend of ours dressed in leather & spikes, the full regalia from the leather pants to the spiked grieves. There was probably 25 to 30 teens anywhere from 13 to 19 in the house with a marantz 2270 combined with  a turntable sitting on top of a pile of blankets to keep the record from skipping as the 500 Watts were being pushed out through these JBL speakers that weighed about 50Lbs each. The album was Point of Entry on the day it was released in our city & my life has never been the same since then. After a few hours I was going back to my house to get a few more LP's & I opened the door right as the local constabulary was about to knock on the door. I turned around & went & told the oldest member who resided in the house he had someone waiting at the door for him. Fortunatly he had the scents, OOps, sence to say "No, you can not come in the house." All this happened before the small city we lived in dreamed up the 'sonic nusiance' laws and were not so draconian about things that really dont mean that much so there was really nothing they could do. We partied for 2 days before things finaly wound down with our own security force outside. You were allowed to come in but if you left you could not come back. I think it would have lasted longer but we ran out of munchies before my friends father came back from his out of town job. Ever since then I have not-so-patiently waited for the next priest album to come out. They have been Delivering the Goods! I watched them during that trial & saw the charges as bogus beyond belief & knew they would be exonerated. Like most people I was shocked when Halfords proclivities came to light but who am I, or anyone else, to tell someone else how to conduct their life in these matters? I was more shocked when they broke up & felt betrayed by Priest. I had a feeling they would reform some day & HAIL! they have. Keep it up guys! Your music will live forever! Not a bad legacy I believe.P.S. I still own that Marantz I bought from my friend & since I cant drop the price of a good used car on a pair of speakers it sits in my attic waiting for the day I decide to feed it another cheap pair of speakers.                                                                               Mississippi Metal Maniac

I wasn't sure about Nostradamus at first ( thought it was a bit Trans Siberian Orchestra) but now it blows me away! My fave track is The Future of Mankind which has reduced me to..dare I say it...tears! Rock On !!

New member here. I saw Priest back in October 1982 in Toronto at Maple Leaf Gardens. Horrible seats. They looked like ants way down there on the stage. We were in the rafters. Anyway, I was hoping to see if anybody knew of some good tabs to "take these chains". I only see one cirulating the internet but I think it has a few errors in it. (It's a bit "naf" as they say in England). It has a name on it of "elvidge" and steve or stephen. If you have that one, please don't tell me about it as I already have it. I think I've got most of it figured out. May not be right way but chords sound ok. Tripping over my fingers trying to get the lead parts. (Thats why some good tabs *might* help). I'm using TuxGuitar which is a free program to play guitarpro tabs (gp3,gp4,gp5). Awesome! May be of help to other folks like me that don't want to lay down our hard-earned money.

Anyway, that's my ramble. Thanks to Mr. Tipton, Downing, Halford and the rest. Really enjoyed your tunes over the years. Trying to learn some of your stuff now at 45 years old. Wife bought me a wicked guitar and having a ball. Peace to all the fellow Priest fans!

I agree with mdejesus from Argentina. I find it`s unfair that there are no pictures or videos from the Sudamerica shows in this site. The same happens with the " Meet and Greet", we don`t have those kinds of privileges over here why?. In some way, I feel we are not completely considered. We, as any other Judas Priest fans, buy the albums of the band, the T-shirts, the merchandise in general and we pay to see and enjoy Judas Priest in concerts. We also love Judas Priest in Sudamerica. We love them so much !!! . I don`t know who is in charge of the management of these matters but I`d like they could read my message. Don`t get me wrong, this is not a complaint but a suggestion so that the Judas Priest fans all over the world are happy.
Kind Regards,
From Chile

It's the Reverend from the Rock n' Roll Breakfast Show in Western Canada. Yesterday I had the pleasure of speaking with the Metal God; Rob Halford. We talked about all things metal, as well as sobriety, love, and karaoke!

Our conversation will air tomorrow (Friday, December 5th) between 1-3PM PST. You can tune in online at: www.rocknrollbreakfast.com

If you miss the original broadcast, the interview will be posted shortly afterwards for all to enjoy as well. Until then, keep thy faith in Metal my brothers and sisters!

Hi, I've just login for first time, i'm a fan of Judas Priest and every time the band visted Argentina I was there.
But, to be honest, I'm a little disappointed, because in this site there're no pictures or videos from the shows in Buenos Aires. In fact, I couldn´t find any material from any show in sudamerica from de 2008 World tour.
On the other hand, european shows have lots of these material the fan can enjoy.
In my opinion this situation is not fair because we'd like to be part of the oficial site too.
In short, I hope you change you mind about this. It's highly recommended if you want to keep your fans alll around (and that includes South America).

Thank you
God bless you guys,

Matías

Some parents don`t allow their children to listen to Heavy Metal because they say it`s evil music. I`ve been a Judas Priest fan for a long long time and I think they are the best that has happened to me. I`ve developed  a good taste for music because Judas Priest makes the finest music ever. I`ve also have improved my English which is not my mother tongue. So I say thank you Judas Priest !!! Thank you creators of Heavy Metal !!!

I have a dream that one day I meet my favourite band in the whole world. I wonder why we cannot access to " Meet and Greet " here in Chile. Who can I pose this question ?. It would be fantastic. I don`t care how much money it costs, Judas Priest is worth everything !!!
I think that the Judas Priest production is doing a great job in choosing the venues for the concerts, giving us the possibility to see a show of  high quality. I really enjoyed the concert at Movistar Arena in Santiago. I hope next time they perform there again. It `s sad that some bands just want to sell tickets and they don`t care about the comfort of the fans. I really appreciate that. Judas Priest cares for their fans.
Best Wishes from Chile
Oh God I love Judas Priest !!!

Hi from Bloxwich, Walsall, England - youthful home town of the Metal God himself, Rob Halford!

I am 49 years old (8 years younger than Rob), born and bred in Bloxwich, and when Rob was 21 in 1972 and living in Kelvin Road on the Beechdale Estate I was just entering T.P.Riley Comprehensive School in Bloxwich, where Noddy Holder of Slade had studied some years before.

Rob's sister Sue tells me he went to Richard C. Thomas school in Bloxwich; at the time he was there I was at Blakenall Heath Junior School, and for some reason I forget we had a feud with his school, and I remember an occasion when we marched up to his school and threw bricks over the wall!  Strange memory, but some things stick with you!

I've been listening to Priest since day 1, when they used to gig in Walsall and Birmingham - those were the days!  I love everything they've ever done, including the epic Nostradamus (what can I say, I'm an epic prog rock concept album fan too ) and have my ticket booked for next February in Birmingham.  Can't wait!

As part of my work (and also because it's great fun!) I'm presently researching the early history of Rob and Judas Priest, good Black Country lads all in those days long ago, as well as other bands and musos with Walsall connections...  Find out more on my blog:  http://metaldog.vox.com

Cheers,

Stuart Williams (aka Metal Dog)
